Hi Sifus,

My tyres are Goodyear NCT5. Based on my record, usually after 50,000-60,000km (~2 years) I have to change to new tyres. Is this normal? I do rotate the tyres every 10,000km but it doesn't make much differences to the lifespan.

I'm approaching 50,000km soon and also, two of the tyres have a small bulge on the side. Is it dangerous to drive? Will it explode?

Finally, any good alternatives to Goodyear NCT5 that is longer lasting and comfortable ride?

Achilles 122 - RM140 each, STH Auto Sri Damansara (Oct 2013). Valve RM5 each, free balancing, alignment (when changing all 4 tires), camber kit + adjust RM45 one side. Rim dent repair RM60.

Best practice is to change both. But you can try changing one first. I've done it before, in front some more. No issues whatsover on my car when I did it last time save one tire smile.gif

185/65R14 Michelin XM2, cost 200 each with free gift. I've changed all the tyres of my ride, so far the best mid range tyre I had.

I have been using the Falken ZE512 185/60/14 for about 3 years now... I found that it is a good tyre compare to the original GY NCT5, it is much quieter and the rubber is softer but I find it is not very good on wet road and the threads gone very fast...

Now, the tyres are approaching botak soon.. I'm currently looking for replacement for all the four tyres. However, I wanna try something different now, I'm looking something like the ZE512 with comfort, soft but I want it to be able to have a good grip on wet road and the threads should last longer as well.. Any nice recommendation?

just change my dad's car to that tyre from Falken ZIEX.

what the shop told me that this Hankook have much better dry and wet traction + few mm extra rubber thickness.

dont know how true it is but so far my dad satisfied with the tyres. i changed all four sets btw.

unable to give u personal review as im using different sets and size.
