The engine braking is said to be too strong on downhill.

it does come with engine braking.. dont worry about deceleration or braking as the braking force itself is quite decent even with stock braking system..

Yeap this is ANCAP version with the 6 airbag~~
My installment is 700+ (for 9 years)~~
driven 1400+ KM to date..no rattling issue or interior ngek ngek so far~~and only some vibration sound of CVT  between 1700 to 2100 RPM~~and CVT whining sound above 3500 RPM~~

nope the ANCAP version is NOT VT3+ gearbox~~

Haha i think i will use the current RIM for the next one year or until 3rd change of tyre~~

By the way...the ANCAP version comes with EVP~~addition on top of the previous version
next year also i doubt they will go for VT3...wait 2015 for the facelift version then~~i think it is very likely the facelift version will be released along with a hell lot of upgrade (only if u can wait)

As a side-note, when at the service centre today, I saw a service advisor driving a Proton Suprima S. When he stepped out of the vehicle, I approached him and asked him some questions on the Suprima S, since I was interested in the difference between the leather seats of it vs. the fabric seats in the Preve. My impression is the leather seats in the Suprima S will be more comfortable than the fabric seats in the Preve.

The answer I got from him turned out to be the opposite. He informed that his manager has driven both Suprima S and Preve on long journeys outstation. In long journeys outstation trips, the fabric seats of the Preve was said to be more comfortable than the leather seats of the Suprima S mainly because the fabric is softer. He mentioned his manager got slight backache in the Suprima S. Is the leather seat in the Suprima S that hard and more uncomfortable than the Preve?

On short journeys, no difference in comfort between the leather and fabric seats. Only in long journeys, the fabric seats is said to be more comfortable than the leather seats. Funny. If that is the case, the leather seats must be the hard type. The only good thing going for the leather seats, according to the service advisor, is it looks better than the fabric seats. That I agree, as the fabric seats look cheap in comparison to the leather. However, in comfort, the fabric seats are said to be more comfortable.

Exec CVT will underpowered, and engine need to pull more power and thus more noisy engine.. but

in my opinion of driving both type of model, (1st batch CFE model and 6 airbag Exec CVT)
at low speed in heavy traffic jam both almost feel the same, not much different, i can say here exec cvt a little bit better, maybe the acceleration responsiveness.
but accelerating above 60kph, you can start feel the different between CFE and  Exec CVT (applicable for normal driving style), the CFE feel more relexing when pulling the car.
but accelerating 80kph and above, there is a wide margin between both of the car (applicable for normal driving style).
When highway driving at constant speed there is not much different (applicable for normal driving style)

but where is the function of actual CFE,
obviously when hill climb  naik genting..
and one other thing when you need something
the need for speed.. 

I have been following this thread for the pass few weeks. I understand that CFE version may come with VT3+, EVP on top of the 6 air bags. This afternoon I went to a show room but the sales adviser seem know nothing about the VT3+ and EVP story. And he told me gearbox is same with the 4 air bags version and no EVP on CFE model...

Appreciate if any new sifu-sifu here or the 6 air bags CFE version owners can share and confirm. Thanks.

It should be TIP mode according to the manual...i think it is a preset to protect the gearbox~~quite unlikely u can change that~~anyway..i found it quite useful man...even if u rev too kuat under tip mode..it will auto shift up for u also...try rev to >6000 RPM and u will see the auto shift~~

..dun understand what u mean on the 2nd point~~

by the way~~not sure u guys have this problem...when u accelerate u felt that the rear mirrors or the speakers are vibrating the same time...i want to get rid of that....and i am eager to try install the rear kit and see if this problem is reduced or permanently solved~~

i tried "voltage stabilizer" by Erictioh (apparently the guy is quite famous)...now my stock speaker sound much better...
