I've booked Preve CFE ANCAP 5 Star ver., solid white, pending on loan approval smile.gif
Just wanna ask (pretty sure somebody has asked/posted them before but it's very difficult to search for it among the sea of posts here, from V1 to V19...)
1. Can I add reverse camera and tweeter to the HU by simply plugin or rewiring is needed?
2. The empty button slot next to the push start button is for headlamps levelling switch right? Does the ori headlamps comes with levelling motor and wiring so that I can simply buy a switch to plug in?
3. RM1500 for R3 body kit including installation+labour charges? Or any nice looking body kit recommendation?
4. My SA told me I can wrap leather seat/trim but will this affect the side airbags functionality?

BTW, my SA said Preve LE still open for booking, even the 100 units quota finished, but the delivery will take ages. don't know true or not. hmm.gif

Look still reasonable ..... Once changed to leather seat the whole car feel totally changed alot.

Now I am cracking head which colour to go for .....

Preve's most colour does not look nice to me..

Fire Red - Seasoned colour, does look a bit "old" after sometimes
Silver - Uncle colour but easily to take care
White & Black - Too hard to take care, scare after 2-3 years down the road hilang semangat then even the uncle's Silver may look better
Lilac - Out of the question

hmm.gif

How nice if it has Suprima's atlantic blue
*
Get solid white + R3 body kits + R3 sports rim + leather seat. And you'll get a Preve LE even you can't get your hand on one. (which I'm very tempted to do) icon_idea.gif

And my previous unanswered questions:
1. Can I add reverse camera and tweeter to the HU by simply plugin or rewiring is needed?
2. The empty button slot next to the push start button is for headlamps levelling switch right? Does the ori headlamps comes with levelling motor and wiring so that I can simply buy a switch to plug in?

Thanks mate

the Turbo and Handling by Lotus..

Could it be... 2014 batch that only have???

I'm pretty sure those stickers are on 2014 batch onwards. Even the ANCAPP 2013 batch is still using CFE.

My SA said the soonest I can collect my new solid white preve is this Friday!!!
Now I remember somebody has show me before a list of how long the warranty cover on different parts e.g. engine, suspension, electronics, etc. Where can I get the full list? (Obviously, my SA also not sure of herself since she told me don't mod anything including HU, speakers, etc. within the 5 years period)

no need full list of that,
change bigger rim =  wheel, suspension, brake warranty void.
any wire cut = whole car wiring warranty void.
double layer tint = tint warranty void
usually like this only~
*
What I meant was how long is the warranty period for each? Is wiring covered for whole 5 years or only 1, 2, or 3 years for example.
And the 5 years is actually 3+2 years where the last 2 years are covered by insurance, something like that.

since power windows is 10 years, wiring should be 10 years too.
For others like suspension usually is 3 years and 40k km max. Engine is 5 years. Actually if you want remain the warranty, just dont mod anything, SC got thousand of reason can say you void warranty because of some mod.
if want that list, need somebody contact Proton COSE already.
*
Actually modding or not is one thing, but I think we should know what/how are the warranty covers and T&C. I don't want (touchwood!!) to go to sc within the 5 year period to claim something and being told that particular part is not covered for whole 5 years but only 1 or 2 years. My SA also not sure about the warranty coverage and T&C, she only know 5 years warranty and wear & tear parts are not covered.
I probably won't mod my ride but maybe just some cosmetic thing only like body kit, leather trim etc.

By the way, anyone know where can I get the chrome lining bar on the bootlid and door frame? you know, like those on Preve Sapphire? I'm from Johor Bahru.

which bootlid sticker you mean? the place below rear lamp?

Yes. On Preve Sapphire that part is chrome instead of body color, and I'm a sucker of chrome. tongue.gif
Actually I'm thinking if there is no after market part for the chrome bar maybe I could try to stick chrome silver vinyl on it. hmm.gif

I went to collect my new ride last night anyway smile.gif
Solid white, 2013 ANCAP CFE, CN: 045XXX, Reg. no.: JPW 3XXX

I've gotten the 'new pricing' batch, i.e. no security etching, no coil mat carpet, no trunk tray, no first aid kit. Comes with the YES 4G though.

So far compare to my experience of previous car (Hyundai Matrix) and my wife's Saga FL:
- I never test drive the old batch Preve before so can't tell if the VT3+ is more quiet, but the engine/cvt whine is noticeable (which doesn't bother me too much though), NVH is better than Saga and on par with Matrix but the tyre is pretty noisy.
- Feel like too thin while grabbing the steering wheel; Matrix and Saga feel thicker. Feedback is just nice, Matrix feel too light while Saga too heavy for my liking
- Pickup is not as responsive as Matrix but I understand this is normal for CAMPRO, Saga is the same.
- Rev around 1.5k-1.9k rpm for city drive with moderate traffic, feel ok; rev up to 2k and can feel the power.
- I can hear some gas releasing sound when releasing the brake pedal, is it the EVP?
- Fitting and finishing are ok, glove box open gracefully but can notice the uneven gap when close, and the front map light switch fitting is not nice, set to door sensing it won't light up, need to 'adjust' it a little to the left (probably contact problem).

Gonna explore the car more. smile.gif

By the way, roughly how much to make coil mat carpet? The original carpet looks ugly and dirty...

Damn! My one week old Preve was towed to SC last night sad.gif

Yesterday after work I'm going home, shen I slot in the key fob, the meter cluster suddenly went off, and I can't start the engine. The brake pedal was like jammed, battery, check engine and engine oil warning sign lighted, and also the battery low warning.
I called WE-CARE, was told to disconnect the car battery and wait for 15 minutes before re-connect, then try to start. I followed that, nope, still can't start. Called WE-CARE again, but the operating hour was past, so I was redirect to emergency assistance line. They arrange a technician to come over.
The technician arrived after one and a half hours, he tried to jump start my car, the engine started. Then we test drive a bit, found that when the radiator fan starts the headlamps will become dimmed, and when switch on the air-con the engine was cut off!!!
The technician suggested to call tow truck to tow the car to SC. Then my car was towed to SC at Larkin (I'm in Johor Bahru).
This morning I went to SC, lot of people there... Wait until around 3pm finally they started to work on my car, and around 3.30pm they finished working. I was told it was wiring problem and they also change a new battery. They also advised me to get my front brake replaced during my 1000km service because of the helicopter sound they found during testing my car.
I was annoyed that my one week old new car was to be towed to SC, but I must praise the Larkin SC for their service and nice attitude.
More annoying, yesterday when my colleagues saw my car's problem, everyone said "See, why buy Proton lar? Better buy a Toyota!!!"

Hmm but is there a way we can update the map in the HU by ourselves?
*
The map is stored in the SD Card so maybe bring the SD Card to some "a-hem" shop to get upgraded map? hmm.gif
And yes, the map is not updated. EDL, one of the important highway in JB is not even shown. Everytime I ride on that road the navigator will show my car is flying above the middle of nowhere. biggrin.gif

Just wanna check with you guys
1) During traffic jam start/stop <5km/h, do you step on the accelerator pedal to move or simply let the car move by itself using D and brake when necessary? I find that if I step on the pedal to move the car it jerks a lot.
2) While waiting at up-slope like red light stop, do you keep at D and use foot brake or keep at N and use handbrake? I know when start the best is keep at D and release handbrake slowly while stepping on accelerator pedal like manual car but how about when waiting?

I'm at 860km and going for 1000km service next Sunday but I just realise that my SA never gives me any service voucher. Do I simply go to the SC and can redeem my free labour or do I need the voucher?
By the way, is the cooling fan always running after engine turn-off? I remember there was only one time I heard the fan running after turn-off and that was the first day I received my car. Until now I never heard the fan running again after turn-off hmm.gif

Service voucher? Thought it is free labour for 1,000 km, 10,000km and 20,000 km service?

The cooling fan only works if the turbo is too hot.
*
So I can get the three free labour cost services by simply go to SC and no voucher needed, okay. rclxms.gif
And my turbo never gets hot enough to trigger the fan after turning off engine and it's normal. rclxms.gif
Thanks for clearing me up.

My fan turns on every time I shut down the engine. Doesn't seem to be overheating, just the electronic water pump working.

rclxub.gif
So which one is normal?
- Fan turned on everytime when engine off
- Fan turned on on-demand (when it's too hot) when engine off
