1. Never noticed it, but Preve insulation is not as good as other car, when it rains, the front windshield produces loud noise.
2. Proton already admits it, maybe in the later batch this will be fixed.
3. The infamous sound, a visit to SC to properly latch the seat will do.
4. Err... never have this problem so far.
5. Nope... not this one either.
6. Same as this one... what do you mean accidentally? biggrin.gif
*
3. Already DIY the latch for the seat but still got sound, only got sound when car moves.
6. Tried to remove the rubber lining in order to remove the c pillar.

Don't try this at home. LOL
I just share the concept, I dun fix it myself either. I get some panel beaters to help me out, try with all the boot lid carpet off, use ears to trial n error
*
Wow....sound like major disassembling required, can the SC solve it?

1. There is some recall for it, using glue to block some holes at cowl panel grille.
2. Already resolved, please visit SC
3. I think its more from the rear wheelhouse/parcel shelf than the seat
4. Go to SC and claim
5. Please post photos to be sure.
6. Same as 5

Here are photos for 5 and 6

Thanks bro, but looking at it i think its not easy 2 diy.
*
Actually there could be another solution, simple and easy to DIY, someone posted in Prevoc FB, you just need a screwdriver to widen the gap between the panel to remove the ngek ngek sound.

Now ngek ngek sound removed, got tik tik sound at front dashboard pulak doh.gif

Send to SC to fix but somehow the sound still come on and off.

As for other issues, kena buat appointment again.

Need to reseal the rear window quarter glass and the front windscreen

Also claiming on the seat yang berbulu. Need to come back to SC on that.

All done at section 13 SC, IMHO better than the SC that i went before.

Nope, the annoying sound is related to the rear dash board and rear seat. Sometimes I too hear the sound you mentioned, haven't brought it up to SC yet due to work.
*
There is a solution in prevoc facebook, need to increase gap between wheelhouse and rear plate or something.

May I know where is this place? I have this sound when car start to move and stop.

Actually i found the problem and solved it already. Seems that the gap between the rear wheelhouse and rear panel is making the ngek ngek sound. All you need to do is to get a screwdriver, insert at the gap and pull down, there you will make a bigger gap thus creating space and eliminating the noise.

You can find the pic at Prevoc FB.

the 2nd time it happened:

1. Stop at a drive thru
2. Shift gear to N
3. Finish ordering, change to D
4. CVT warning error symbol lights up. Engine still on, car isnt movable
5. Manually turn off engine and start again

just a simple stop-start step on a very even surface and such issue happened.
*
Maybe you shift from N to D too fast? CVT is not our normal transmission, cannot inflict sudden change from standstill to D.

Maybe you can ask Kristof from Punch or mat79...

Bro,

Refer to post #586 in this forum for solution.

If it does not work, use cellotape to secure the two boot spring metal rod to prevent it from moving around.

If not, send to mudguard shop and knock around the metal sheets to find the source of the noise?

bro..the noise in the video exactly same like urs?..

coz actually i viewed ur post #586 before...but i dare not use the screwdriver to make bigger gap la..i just tried to tug in a piece of cloth into the gap just to make sure the noise is caused by the gap..but still..the noise appeared...not sure whether i tuck in not enuf cloth or the cloth method doesnt work...but the noise definitely come from around that wheelhouse area
*
Yes..same noise..

Just pull it down bro, pull until you cannot hear the krek krek sound anymore. Do not worry, the welding will not be spoilt.

I think the noise could be cause by lack of dampening materials at the far end of the sheet metal. Do not think the cloth is the solution.

As for wheelhouse, check for allenultra post in this forum, got mention about possible sound due to clash of wheelhouse and rear metal sheet.

I got all the seats in my car changed at the Sec 13 Service Centre. I was actually in there to claim one seat but they went ahead and changed all of them - front and back.

You can try going there, if COSE is too crowded, and see what the sec 13 ppl say.
*
Bro,

How long do you have to wait to get the stock of replacement seats in sec 13 sc?

I see. If minor rattling sound from doors or other places, doesn't matter too much if they don't make an effort to rectify it. Sooner or later more rattling sound will pop up here and there anyway due to wear and tear. Just the major ones that are annoying enough, then I suppose they should look at it more seriously.

The seats with "moving airbag", or seats with air pockets, this "defect" should definitely be resolved by Proton.
*
For minor rattling, you can resolve it yourself.

For major ones, better get SC to fix it because airbag defect is quite dangerous.

For dashboard those i fix myself~ i actually complain twice about the seat, SC13 and Balakong once, SC13 said they did fix it but still same, Balakong side said is manufacture problem~ cant do anything, even ask me sit in other preve on the spot and try. That preve also have sound. haha~

I cant waste too much time for SC, so i just leave it, when i free only go back bising. My car just 7 months old.
*
How do you fix the dashboard rattling?

i did that, WD40 + grease. Solve a little bit. cannot totally make sound gone. i think thats maybe design and cut cost( maybe can wrap with some material to kill the sound?) , even go change a new seat, problem still there. just like fur problem.
so i give up~ haha
*
Just change once 1st and then if problem come again...Let it be..because each time change seats, we need to leave the car at sc for sometime.

Somehow, the previous seats for previous proton do not have this problem...vendor changed maybe?

erm..if not mistaken, previous seat doesnt come with air bag? Preve is the first?
Not really sure about this~
*
I think the cause of the sound is not the airbag..it is the design and material used that is low.

a little relate there, if the seat doesnt have air bag, those part doesnt need to build like that, of cos, i agree the cut cost, proton mah~ hahaha

Why can't they spend a bit more on the dept rather than having us owners go SC to change seats...haizzz... shakehead.gif
