gunzerdude, such a shame I can't get your flash, I need an external flash for events coverage.

Hopefully the Nissin Di622 MK2 will work fine. Any tips on events coverage? smile.gif

Well then, hard to give advice like that, usually I just adapt to the environment only.

Full manual settings, ISO adjust to compensate for ambient lighting, then flash ratio adjust for fill.

thanks, I guess trial and error all the way. hmm.gif

Oh, the D610 officially announced now? This is just a replacement model for the oil problematic D600, isn't? The AF should be the same, izzit?
*
What about D600?

Any kind soul here would like to share a list of D600 problems?

Sorry I lost track on Nikon after their D700 announcement and leak. doh.gif

(Still keen on getting a FX like D700 though.)

*raise hand*

can I have a D800? laugh.gif

anw, last evening took some bracketing burst shots (3 shots, 1 stop)

AF-S and single point.

Problem is, the D7000 tries to refocus on every shots. Hence the second and third shot usually landed OOF.

Taking brackets for landscapes? Try manual focus?  hmm.gif

a bit rush because the sun wouldn't wait for us.

Yes, I guess I should train my manual focusing.

Yeah, Nikon D600 units are plagued with oil splattering issues onto the sensors, that's the reason why Nikon released the D610 very recently which claimed to have fixed that issue. But Nikon's move had upset a lot of D600 users sad.gif

DSLRs are not water resistant one haha, best also weather sealed in higher end models  laugh.gif
Even so, best not to shoot too much in the rain la haha, humidity is very conducive to fungal growth

I just bath my 2x D7000s this morning, well light rain that is.

1x D7000 is in good condition,

1x D7000 has been exposed to salt water, the lens mount are covered with rust, as well as all the screws. sweat.gif

Both are not mine.

Wah, so terror ar sifu?  laugh.gif
Rugged use man haha XD

Though I have to admit sometimes its very hard to keep them dry, especially when on the sea or in the forest
*
the shoot must go on! laugh.gif (with ballerinas)

One D7000 belongs to my GF, we exchanged.
One D7000 belongs to my brother, the lens mount already has "blueish" stain on it, plan to wipe it off with alcohol swab but since it's not recommended, I might as well try other solution.

How did the salt water get onto the camera?
Most of the time my brother spend his time on the beach, he's now a diver. He probably forgotten about the camera after spending time on the beach.

Great shot mate! I love the posture, looks very hard lol~
Too bad the face obscured liao, should be better without the jacket I think  hmm.gif

no joke! Thanks for the comment, looking forward to adjust and correct future shots.

In these type of shooting, trial and error. We only realised the jacket sweat.gif

Really love the hair highlight when she landed. wub.gif

Seems to me that there are a few types of tripod, one being a normal one, and one a ball-head type. Not sure whether I am correct.  hmm.gif
*
liewkk, not sure if he's still around.

He likes to shoot avians animal and landscape which is why a sturdy and reliable tripod is needed.

I really should get one for myself too but budget is quite out for this month.

You can buy separately though, ballhead or the feet.
