I think it's okay for 77mm thread. B+W is way more expensive. Hitech and Lee Big Stopper are heartbreaks. I don't know, but I am hoping I can find 100 bucks or something.
Nice one, 50mm, must be crazy to frame this.
HAMAGADDD, her chubby cheeks, so cute!!! wub.gif

I own a Lee's big stopper, but it was for seven5 system, those smaller ones as I used to use it with my x100. as expensive as they may be, they still have color cast, I think better to go with the cheaper ones.

Now i'm saving up for a 20 2.8D for landscape uses, haha, only lenses with smaller than 72mm filter thread can use that =.=

EDIT: oh yes about what gerald 7 suggests below, if you want to avoid the troublesome focusing issue with a screw on nd1000. you can try using those screw on variable nd filters, those usually varies from 2 to 9 stops

Want to ask, I do have a circular variable ND filter but fixed to 52mm diameter.

I remembered I used it before to get long exposure. I was on Aperture Priority, Daylight WB and at f/22, ISO100. The camera suggested for certain shutter for proper exposures.

But I still get dark picture, not pitch black but underexposed. How come ya? What I went wrong and what is colour cast too?
*
Um, not really sure about your 1st question, what I usually do is expose the camera without filter, lets say at ISO 100, F11 aperture priority, I get 1/500, then I'll set to manual, with same aperture and iso, then reduce my shutter speed down 10 stops if i'm using 10 stop filter..

about color cast, do you notice the wb of your shots were not correct when you're using the nd8 from cokin? that's color cast, stronger nd filters have a more obvious color cast. like your picture turns totally blue after the long exposure.

hope this helps biggrin.gif

Hi, not sure which thread to ask. Anyone got experience buying ap sets? Hows the experience. If rosak during warranty will the warranty company play games with u or honor the contract. Secondly, if after warranty isit more expensive to repair than a nikon malaysia unit. In other words does nikon penalize customers juz cos they bought an ap unit.

Where to get best deal on nikon dslr? Pls dont tell me getting original costs only a bit extra. Cos rm 200 more is not abit. Im looking for a d7000 actually, been sitting on it for a month now.
*
Not sure bout AP set but why not get a used D7000, costs around RM1500-1700 lately. You can save even more than RM200 smile.gif

I'm not sure about the effect of Raynox with 105. 105 is a long macro lens, and Raynox is an adapter to help you gain the focus at close distance. Same case when I was using extension tube. Hence, I think you need to get your lens closer to your subject than normally you'll do with 105 alone.
*
Yea, working distance really reduced a lot, plus finding the target on the viewfinder is tough as the depth of field is soo small, working at more than 2x magnification is not easy =.= .. will try to work around with this, shooting without raynox is easy though
