White XZU user here, on firmware 532

Been having a lot of issues with Fake Hang / Screen of Death, even with the Optimised Backlight ticked

A few symptoms that I have noticed that triggers the Fake Hang / Screen of Death:
1) Whenever I change the Display settings (does not matter which Display settings)
2) After intensive gaming (especially with Real Racing 3), movie or Youtube-ing, that gets the CPU / GPU / battery very hot
Noticed that the XZU would totally hang after a few hours cooldown period (about 4 to 5 hours after situation 1 and 2 described above)

Any ways that you guys can recommend on how to resolve this issue ?
Any help is much appreciated !

Have done a lot of background reading with Android SOD issues, which a lot of people claims is coming from Android deep-sleep mode.
Have tried a lot of things with my XZU, including a CPU keep-awake app (Wake My Android Pro) to prevent the XZU from deep sleep.
It works, until situation 1 and 2 is triggered, which totally defeats the whole multimedia experience of the XZU.
To prevent the Fake Hang / SOD, I constantly had to restart the XZU after the gaming / youtube sessions, which surprisingly helps to prevent Fake Hang / SOD

The XZU is a superbly brilliant device !
Only hope that Sony upcoming firmware updates (if any) can resolve this major stability issue...

I am using Lux Auto Brightness (free version) for the last 2 weeks, to prevent myself from touching the Display settings.
Same results, fake hang or SOD after the gaming sessions

I was wondering...how does the Lux app prevent SOD ?
Is the SOD caused by the proximity sensor ?
I read that previous Xperia Z issues were caused by Sony using different type of screens from different vendors...probably driver compatabilty issues ?

Anyone can pinpoint what causes the XZU to hang / SOD ?

I never have SOD in all the firmware i am on including the LTE 510 firmware
i only faced fake hang issues on all non LTE 510 firmware
LTE 510 n non lte 532 HK firmware perfect with no fake hang

Has been quite addicted playing this game on XZU big screen.. LOL.. Now my town is quite big already.. But now it seems quite impossible to expand without buying the virtual cash.. Sighh..

Probably but I think it will be much expensive, it can't price same with non LTE version, it is unfair to previous user then.

Camera quality  is not subjective. If its bad, its bad. There's no other way.
QX10 does not solve camera quality issue. Its like bringing a PnS to solve a phone camera quality issue. Does it solve the issue? No.

Just got my Sbh52, collected from pos laju warehouse.. The item was shipped on Monday, but I just got back from outstation.. Was very eager to get it, so one I reach KL straight away go collect. LOL.. But then after play2 with it for a while, ermm.. Just ok..

Just a quick impression. It feels plasticky on hands, so light, and feel like a cheap things. The small display suxx, feel like I'm back to Nokia 3310 era. I wish they can put a better display. I guess this thing is more to its functions. Tested the calling functions, it's cool, literally I've got the smallest phone to ironically accompany my largest phone.. I able to perform calling on sbh52 standalone, while my XZU is away from reach. Messaging function is not that convenient, but might be useful if u are on something and you can't reach your phone. It notify you when a SMS came in, then u push the play button to display it.. The SMS lines goes like an ads taglines the bottom of your TV, the moving sentenc, if u know what iI mean. Then once you are done, the SMS gone, you cannot review it. It only appear when it first came in to your phone. Other than that, the music player functions like a small mp3 player. Very basic display of the name of the song and artist.. I'm yet to test the sound quality, might to a short review if I have time.

Above all, it's a useful accessories for a big phone like XZU, but imo there is no point of getting this as a bluetooth accessories if u are using a normal sized phone, there are plenty of other option at cheaper price. But, if the price tag for sbh52 is somewhere around rm200, I guess this can beat most bluetooth headset outthere

Yes it does read emails in full length too.

I only want to know how's the battery life on new firmware.

how about if on normal usage like surfing with 3G?

u r lucky already, new LTE unit only RM1.6+k. Faster sell if yours is 3g version not even worth 1.3k 2nd hand. Wait a few more months below RM1k already lol
