Underseat amplifier is good idea....use to put  it in my pprevious ride....but i dont believe in the active flat subwoofer....for me it should be subwoofer run by proper monoblock amp and must be put in proper design enclosure in order to appreciate the quality or nothing at all....
Wah that pioneer is the top range model.... rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

Unfortunately. Jazz can never have underseat amplifier because the petrol tank is there.

If you want rumbling bass, i don't think the flat subs can do it. It more like for people who want to compliment their system with a bit more bass extension but does not want to complicate stuff by having a separate sub to do it. It does do it's job, just not earth shaking low end frequencies.

Yeah, that is why i say "overkill". And half the advanced function now is non-existent because my phone doesn't support MHL. Still thinking of what to do with it. Have to pull the HU back out this weekend to see how to get the phone to function properly with the HU. That Appradio junk is a real bitch to operate.

How can new model like S7 Edge not supporting MHL? Older model like my Note Edge  supporting MHL....
*
Samsung already stopped mhl support from s6 if i am not wrong.

They wanted to use their own tech

Can try Philips X-treme Vision Plus +130% performance halogen bulb.
Cheaper option as compared to LED/HID.

Stick v halogen/LED/HID ?

Like what mayalab recommends. Xtreme vision or Diamond, Crystal, White vision also will be better. Just what color temp of the lights you want only.

Just joking la. I bought from you a few times adi. I no complain pun. Haha

Only complain is your COD place at that ara damansara is goddamn far and i didn't get my T10s the last time around. Hahaha

QUOTE(mayalab @ Jul 14 2016, 11:36 PM)
If one is looking for extra brightness. X-treme Vision is the only one to consider.
Other whiter lights are more meant for aesthetic purpose. White light has shorter beam throw.
*
I have the crystal, diamond and xtreme. On days, the whiter ones seem to work better if there is some illumination around like street lights and stuff. It feels like you are able to tell that the lights are on {maybe just because different color la cos streets lamps are always yellow}

The xtreme does seem to have a longer beam throw, but unless i am in total darkness. Can't really quite feel it.

Maybe i got night blindness tongue.gif

What about osram cool blue hyper?  biggrin.gif
*
Dun expect much on those. What happen with those is that they heavily tint those bulb to produce cooler color temps.

You actually see the same blue tint on Phillips Xtreme and Osram's Nightbreaker Unlimited, but they are just 2 small strips covering the bulb whereas the Blue Hyper is actually covering the entire bulb with the blue tint. This tint, as the name goes will cut down on the light intensity. So, that gives you an idea on what to expect on the two different products.

Just a comparison between both

Hi there.
Anyone upgraded ur front speakers? Wonder 6.5" speaker can fit without trimming the door panel
Thanks
*
6.5" definitely will fit. The question is not the size of the driver but how deep is it. So, you have to take measure on the voice coil + magnet depth to ensure it does not sit your front side windshield when it winds down. Some manufacturers will list down the specs like below

http://www.focal.com/en/index.php?controll...attachment=4551

Typically, they might trim a bit of the honeycomb on the door panel from the inside due to the adapter pushing the driver out front. But, it should not matter much as you don't really see it. More damage actually gets done inside as they might need to bang on your door a bit to get the driver magnet able to sit in properly.

So, technically it is possible to do it. But, if you cannot stand to see someone meddling with your beloved car. Then, best to just forget it.

Bang n not cut off? I remember they usually cut of part of of the steel that is obstructing the driver.
Thanks anyway.
U use back the original speaker cable or add in new cables?
Thought of putting the amp below front seat though some said not advisable because of the oil tank underneath. Where do u locate ur amp?
*
No one cuts their door. If they have something that can bend it, they will bend instead of banging on it with a hammer la. Cutting / grinding it would be too drastic. Not to mention rusting because there is moisture inside the door.

For me, i did not pull new cables as mine was a fairly stock setup with no amps, processors or any fancy stuff. Just swap speakers, then HU at a later stage.

I don't know if it is actually possible to slot an amp there. The space is very limited unless the amp itself is very very thin. I have different seats in the car now and the lowest point is only a couple of CM away from touching the highest part of the flooring. Just enough to put the hand through and nothing more.

I received a Product Update (Recall) letter from Honda Malaysia
Just visit http://productrecall.honda.com.my/......enter your chassis number.... see what happen....mine need to change the 12V Battery....however no need for CVT changes though my JAzz is manufactured in 2015 ....registered in Nov 2015...if need to change the CVT , i wonder do they change the CVT gearbox or just the CVT oil ??
*
The CVT is just a software update as it is something to do with the logics that causes a failure.

But the battery one is the one that amazes me. Wouldn't any car older than 4 years would have swapped the battery anyway?

Thanks gor ur info. By the way what seat has u swap with the original? Thought of getting semi bucket seat for the front n wonder if all other honda model fits..
*
Bride zeta III on the driver side and a bride stradia II on passenger side.

The passenger side has been swapped back to stock due to complaints.

You need to check the sizing because that is the only way to tell. Usually it is the shoulder part that is problematic as it might rub {best case} or get blocked {worst case} by the B pillar. The rest is just the sizing on your hip and buttock.

So, you need to first check or if they let you test fit in the car to know if it works. Else, buy something you know someone else used before on the same car. Usually, recliner has less problems. But for me, i hate recliner as it is harder to get out and doesn't quite give the same level of support as full bucket does. But, if you are custom welding the rails, you might be able to offset the seat or maybe even angle it a bit to avoid hitting stuff. But then, you won't be seating straight and might be a bit weird.

Which is why i decided to fit a zeta on driver side and a stradia recliner on passenger side. But, apparently even a recliner is hard to get in and out especially if your female companion wears skirts and stuff. Something i didn't really thought of.

p/s: took a picture of the seat shoulder clearance against a stock unit. This is full bucket compared to stock, recliner is no longer in the car.

This is something you expect to see from the seat manufacturer

Without the rails, it won't tell much of the story. But you can at least get a gauge of whether it will be too huge for your car. As long as you are not driving some 2 seater japanese sports car from the late 90s to early 2000s or a kei car, most of the time it will be not much of an impact.

Thanks for the info. It is of great help. Will try to ask around. Thought of putting type R seat which I supposed is plug n play...
Type R as in FD2R, EP3R, DC5R, EK9R or DC2R. I think none of those is plug and play because the seat rails won't bolt to the Jazz's floor as it has different mount positions. I am not sure how to settle the rail but it might either involve butchering something from another seat or sacrificing your own.

Good luck hunting though.

It doesn't make sense. There is a ton of gk5 17"ers out there. Some even 18", if there is issues. It would have been a big fuss long ago.

As for drive shaft, it is not good for it if it is lowered. Steering becomes heavier and the drive shaft is at an incorrect angle. That is why a roll center adjuster exists.

Wheel bearing getting a beating might be a fact due to the extra weight. But that is stuff years down the road

Jus for statistics. I ride on 17" also although gk5 cvt. No problem so far with the 5 speed atf unit.

Yes. I totally agreed. U will be surprised that some of the 17"rim is actually lighter than stock rim. So, weight is not a problem as long as u choose those light weight rim. In fact sport rim nowaday are very much lighter due to improved technology.
*
Replica rims no lighter la.

How significant the rim weight (medium or high budget) for fuel consumption?

I want to change oso but salesman advised do it after first 10k km service.

If possible, keep ori rim

I emailed honda about things that can void the car warranty but still no answer.
*
Who keeps their rims when they are worth a couple hundred in trade ins.

Even if honda answers u regarding the warranty, it will be very generic and very unsatisfactory. Mods as always is done with your own disgretion.

Furthermore, stuff like rim seldom causes things to fail immediately after except for wrongful installation. That is your only worry.

Ask your SA. They should have it. Very hard to find outside for those that have no LED.
