QUOTE(chrisshim @ Jan 13 2014, 09:44 AM) I just started UNIFI few weeks ago. The D-link DIR 615 router really suckz in term of range. Things got better after change the bandwidth to 20mhz only. The windsurfer made of aluminium doesn't really help in my case. Poor signal in first floor (double storey terrace) Have a look if anyone sharing the same channel as u or not.Change the router to TP link WR841ND. The range is marginally better. -80 to -90 (1 or 2 bar) measured from Wifi Analyser (Android) at first floor. Hesitating to improve the range further by limiting the bandwidth to 20mhz or not, coz worrying this may compromise a bit on the speed. If yes then it will slow down the wireless signal. http://www.metageek.net/support/downloads/ This post has been edited by sovietmah: Jan 13 2014, 10:04 AM |

QUOTE(teh_tarik_satu @ Feb 6 2014, 02:48 PM) sorry nubis. what is the best channel for wireless signal. because, some time i drop to channel below 11, some phone hav problem with it. thanks You need to check if ur channel clash with neighbour or not.If it is, then probably will slow down ur internet speed because ur device cant diff which router signal properly. |

I bought a TP-link 500mbps homeplug, unfortunately i tested at my hometown the speed can reach only 7-8 megabytes per second (64 mbps+-) between 2 directly 13A plug, and it is single phase meter.
Which I think not within hypptv HD requirement. Instead of install the unifi at first floor backroom, so no choice decide to install the unifi directly at living room. Probably the wiring cables all are too old already. This post has been edited by sovietmah: Feb 7 2014, 09:41 AM |

QUOTE(aneip @ Feb 7 2014, 10:10 AM) Hypptv configured only 10Mbps, it's more than enough. Actually I tested aztech homeplug 500mbps.. Even side by side I only able to achieve 100Mbps.. Far from advertised. Hypptv 10 mega bit per second? or 10 mega bytes per second.BTW bluray only use around 40Mbps.. how high do you think hypptv bitrate? Hmm sorry i might confuse on this. then probably enough. and another problem is, sometimes the homeplug work sometimes not. I cant figure out why. Something wrong with the 13A near my hometown tv cabinet. the rest of plug is OK. This post has been edited by sovietmah: Feb 7 2014, 10:18 AM |
