QUOTE(natz85 @ Jan 5 2014, 11:52 PM) Hi all, any recommendation for Unifi router, currently using the Unifi white and orange router and encountering alots of problems wiht it, the router need to be compatible with Hypptv as well. Personally, I use Mikrotik RB751-2HnD. Impressed with the feature and performance, able to use internet and IPTV.Looking for easy to setup router as i know some router need the firmware to be flashed to a unifi-compatible one. Kindly advise. Downside of it: Difficult to configure. Besides that, you might want to try the TPLINK or Asus router that used by many forummer here. |

Does it capable of doing VLAN tagging to 3 digit at port level?
Else it won't be comptible. Why don't you check out TPLINK and Asus router model that works out of box (OOB). Check other thread in this forum for more info. |

Generally, most of the router for streamyx won't work for unifi.
Try login to admin page and check if the unit support VLAN, and if it does check if it allow you to define the VLAN no, from there you should be able to tell if it support 3 digit. |

QUOTE(masashi89 @ Jan 21 2014, 12:24 PM) Hi guys, sorry to ask this nub question, but, is there really gonna be big difference using a third party router than using the TM's? In my opinion, if you dun do torrent download wifi coverage to further area, and dun mind the stability problem, default router still served its function well. It is not that bad actually.thanks in advance. |
