My unifi modem don't have QOS functionality.
Any recommend on what modem/router I should get for QOS purpose?
A lot of my housemate are heavy torrentor and downloaders, so i'm looking for a good one.

How to force TM to give me new router.. I think the router is broken.
Hate to follow their stupid procedure because I know the router is going to die soon sleep.gif
Don't wanna do all this step by step guide before they can do report.

my Unifi supplied D-Link router fried. called their CS and he walked me through in ensuring that all the things are properly set up, so confirm the supplied wireless router died. it'll cost 170 to get a replacement from unifi, and since my warranty is over, i bought an Asus RT-N12 D1 at lowyat, jayacom for 120.

the signal is better, and lower ping, and QOS support (not that i need it now). but def a good buy.  icon_rolleyes.gif

asus has a broad range of wireless routers, rt-n12 d1 fits my budget nicely. custom os support too if you like to tinker around.

Sounds great mate. I think it's about time I change my router. I always change mine every year.
Mine is probably about to die lol. Thanks for the recommendation icon_rolleyes.gif

what is your budget for the router ?

because I just change mine to the Asus RT-n14UHP, a mid-range router with pretty good performance.

Probably 200 max.
But you can suggest a few if you want with price. I'll look into it and consider.

Contact rattan
My whole family registered with him & all of us got our UniFi installed within than 1 ~ 2 weeks.
For that budget, you can get the ASUS RT-N14U for RM162 in lelong.com.my
RT-N14U Pros:
* Gigabit Ethernet

RT-N14U Cons:
* Internal antennas, weaker WiFi coverage
* MediaTek CPU: Not supported by any 3rd party firmware.

But if you're willing to add a few extra bucks, you can get the ASUR RT-N14UHP - RM249 in lazada.com.my
RT-N14UHP Pros:
* Very large WiFi coverage
* Broadcom CPU: Lots of 3rd party firmware.

RT-N14UHP Cons:
* No Gigabit Ethernet

And if you're willing to max out your budget to RM329, you can get the ASUS RT-N16.
ASUS RT-N16 is better than the 2 model I've listed earlier.
Although it's rather hard to find RT-N16 nowadays as lots of seller is out of stock.

Thanks mate for the suggestion, gonna decide soon thumbup.gif

Yes, it works perfectly with UniFi.

But to be 100% sure, you can ask ASUS Malaysia directly through this thread:
