No, you should insist they CHANGE the amount in the system IMMEDIATELY.

why should you pay first and later wait for refund?

what if its not RM53, but RM530, are you going to pay RM530 first and wait and beg for the refund?

I encounter this with astro, extra charge me RM23. I pay the actual amount, ignoring the extra mistake charge of RM23 and made a report to astro. A few days later, Astro place that Rm23 as outstanding, (although knowing the report has been made and its THEIR error), and CUT my astro line.

I straight away call astro and ask them, WHO Authorize to cut my line? and insist they reconnect my line immediately. The operator still have the guts to tell me they are going to charge me RECONNECTION fees. I ask for the supervisor and tell him to do as i say and if not i will go to their board of directors.

The problem lies with them, we should not be penalized or even pay first. I ask the same question to the supervisor, Can i bill your Director RM10,000.00 and he has to pay me first. Then i find out my error, and i will refund his RM10,000 after 1 month or so. If can, i have no problem paying RM23 which you wrongly bill me.


Just for your reference. For me, no such nonsense, pay first and refund later.
