QUOTE(amirudin920927 @ Apr 2 2014, 09:08 PM) I use this settings.. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I set the RTS Threshold to 2346 Max because with this I can get LOW PING for gaming. For WiFi Channel, I use Wifi Analyzer app in my Note2 for search my area which channel is lack of users. Take the channel that no user if there is. For the VLAN I think its auto set to this ,,, » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « VLAN same as yours And I just download any wifi analyzer app Saw my wifi channel showing from 5 to 9 But 7 is the peak, show like this, refer the photo *lead1368@unifi (2.4ghz) is my wifi Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(jolmy @ Apr 3 2014, 08:17 PM) For Wi-Fi 2.4GH channel, you should always only use Channels 1, 6 or 11. But so far channel 7 is okay And why 2.4ghz only can set either 1, 6 and 11 ???

QUOTE(jolmy @ Apr 3 2014, 08:39 PM) each channel is 20MHz wide. There are all together 14 channels in 2.4GHz spectrum, & 2.4GHz definitely cannot have 14 non-overlapping 20MHz channels. Basically only Channels 1, 6 & 11 are non-overlapping. So if you & your neighbor are both on Channel 6, the Wi-Fi protocol kicks in to ensure that everyone has a fair share of the bandwidth. However, if you set it to Channel 7, this overlaps with Channel 6 as well as 11. This will create an interference known as overlapping channel interference, which can be very severe in a place where there is a high number of access points. This diagram perhaps explains: Not very understanding about it So in my case always set either 1, 6 or 11 wireless channel only ? Right now using channel 7, after post this will set to 6 and see how it goes *my neighbour using channel 13 @@

QUOTE(jolmy @ Apr 4 2014, 03:31 PM) Since your neighbor is using 13, then do NOT use 11, they overlap. Using 6 is fine then. so far I found no difference with channel 7 if got problem change to what channel ? my wifi adaptor and phone detected nearby my house somebody using channel 1

QUOTE(jolmy @ Apr 4 2014, 10:47 PM) You can still try Channel 1 besides 6. If the someone on Channel 1 the signal is weak, it would not be a problem for you. QUOTE(jolmy @ Apr 4 2014, 10:50 PM) The 40MHz channel width is used to achieve higher data rate (e.g. 300Mbps). It is actually using 2x 20MHz channels to achieve that, hence the 2+6 actually mean it is using a 20MHz channel 2 & a 20MHz channel 6. alright thanks for telling

QUOTE(jolmy @ Apr 6 2014, 11:03 AM) If you are using Samsung Galaxy S4 (at least this is what I am using & discovered), do NOT hold the top half of the phone. Doing so will block Wi-Fi signals. And if you are connected to the 5GHz band Wi-Fi, then take note the range of 5GHz is shorter, hence, if you are a little too far from your router, then the signals will also be affected. I close 5ghz wifi as my both desktop and laptop not support 5ghz QUOTE(shinkawa @ Apr 6 2014, 01:14 PM) hi guys decide to get a new router to see whether my problem will solve. can recommend me? - around 3-4 device connecting to wifi, need strong signal. some room not strong signal - can support hyppTV budget ??
