Probably a White Balance issue. Trying to over compensate red color in dark/noisy place.

No idea. I feel is hardware. Last time my old old Pixon also got that issue, after a month later, it hardly focus correctly.

I try snap at dark area again, no huge red spot found.

Where did you get this phone from? Hopefully not from Maxis as they do not do 1 to 1 exchange, even if the defect was found when opening the box at Maxis. This happened to my friend when he bought the Note 3 from Maxis, opened for inspection and setup by Maxis staff and found that half the menu 'button' light is not working. Maxis refused 1 to 1 exchange as they do not have this policy for Samsung products. Ended up having to send to Samsung service center after only holding the phone for 10 minutes.

Update : Got 1 to 1 replacement from good guy at Senheng Kemaman.

the raster scan line does not come out everytime
but it is quite often, I can noticed it just by playing the phone for few minutes
is it considered as a defect?

Very satisfied. High end specs and first phone with 3GB RAM. Nice screen, good battery life.
In fact I'm very happy with my Note II but now happier.

Anyway, Chrome is really a battery drainer. If only stock browser can open pages in background, I wouldn't have started using Chrome. Sigh.

If you buy from Samsung outlet..sure the view functioning.
Better still if you try the casing first before paying.

For those need colourful back covers, these may be an alternative.


But I still like the original back casing, I need something that can cover it without hiding its beauty and protect bezel from gets scratched. Looks like TPU casing is a better choice for me.
