Hi i was just wondering if there is any ICE out there that has built in HDD
that i could just transfer songs from mp3 player via the USB port?

HDD with cd player mayb
1 or 2 DIN doesnt matter

i remember i asked before how much those stuff are. to my surprise. damn expensive

dont think its a good idea to have a hdd based device running on car. hdd will be quite likely to crash

hdd hates vibration and shock

dun think an hdd can easily spoil in a car...unless ur car got no suspension...

my fren use his car pc for 3 years yet no prob....

yes there are ... i think Sony high end model provides it

sony MEX-1GP<--- i think is this model code...

it has a face plate tht comes with 1GB HDD...

yeah i saw that on the sony website.
but im talking about HDD 10gb or more
which lets us transfer files via USB into it
and also a CD player and other basic stereo functions

10GB? no idea... not yet so high tech for car HU kua...

if that is the case, why not get a player that can support USB drive. just plug in and play.

why not u buy a hdd divx player?
buy the player casing, huge hdd, in-dash lcd screen.
then just a matter of wiring.
i'v been planing to buy a sarotech 3.5" hdd divx box (around rm500+) so i can put monster hdd
but still no money

there's someone in zth selling this kind of headunit, has 2x20gb of hdd with touchscreen, memory stick and dvd. brand is eclipse.

get a notebook HDD with casing....

get a FM transmitter with USB slot

plug it in and play like no one is listening
