Advance payment unnecessary if you are already a Maxis postpaid customer exceeding a year. I renew my surfmore50 plan n got the phone without paying the advance payment.

Noted that ram is only 2.4gb n not 3gb as advertised? Or is the other 0.6gb used by system n hidden?

I estimate easily 7 hours SOT based on yesterday few hours usage . Achieved mainly on 3g . 80% of timr on browsing, RSS newsfeed, facebook, emails, tweeter
Will do a more detailed analysis as battery still new

After using this Note3 more than a day, I have decided to use it as my main phone n relegate the XZU as secondary phone/mini tablet.
Initially I was concerned about its smaller display size but this worry ended up unfounded. The Note3 is a very snappy phone n I find myself using the SPen often vs Note2. The SPen is a vast improvement over Note2.
I am using Holo launcher n Spen still work magnificently with it
Yet to find a single bug with the phone

Heat issue seems much reduced today. Had been using continuously past 2 hours ( while waiting for car service) mainly internet stuffs, temperature averaging 35 degree C only. Highest seen was yesterday was 45 degree C.

Only thing I don't like in this phone is the back cover. I find it horribly bad n a poor attempt from Samsung to improve the looks n supposedly make it classier. GOOD for those of you who love it but not me. However it does gives a better grip on the phone. But only a minor aesthetic issue for me.

AP even if box is unsealed does not necessary means is refurbished set. Don't mislead potential buyers.
