btw, i took a look at my fog light grill, and couldnt find any screw.
I was trying to remove the foglight or grill, to put my hand inside to install the No. Plate nut.

any idea how to get it done?

Hey guys!
Day 3 of ownership,
And I've been enjoying the ride so far.

It seems I'm either driving super slow and efficiently, or really fast and guzzling petrol. Never in between. Haha

3rd gear doesn't like to be shifted into sometimes. It has a bit of an attitude. I think I will seriously consider that redline gear oil.

I seem to get stalled engine sometimes when releasing the clutch onto 1st gear, when the car is stationary. I'm thinking I am not stepping on the gas pedal enough. Maybe I haven't gotten used to it yet.
Same for reverse gear. Feels strange that the revs almost don't go up at all when lightly pressing the gas.
Unlike my old saga, which had immediate mechanical response.

Also I notice that idling is at 0.5krpm sometimes. Is that low? Or normal.
When aircon is on, there is a loud "tchak!" Sound from the engine. And the revs change a bit. I'm guessing it is the compressor activating. And the ex-owner said its normal, since some valve is opening.
Is that "tchak!" sound normal?

All together it has been a good ride. And I plan to service the car soon, even tho it has not reached the 10k interval.

My fuel consumption is 12L/100km. Seems a bit high.
I see on fuelly, others getting 9L/100km.
Maybe the CVT variant?

Oh yeah.. My tires are abit bigger. =)

U getting engine stalled is due to your manual skill not good enough lor :-P
There is 0.5second lag the moment you hit your throttle and the moment u see the rpm rise. So u must hit the gas first before you release clutch. That's y the car stalled coz u used to the no delay throttle response from old car with throttle cable. All newer cars these days use drive by wire.

Idling around 600rpm is normal for this car. The tchak sound is from the aircon compressor thermostat.

That tchak sound will take some getting used to.
I need to get used to that rev delay as well. Haha.. I've stalled the engine quite a number of times. Reverse especially. Haha

My car is 45k mileage. A second hand car.
That 12L/100km was city driving, including jams la, and occasional spurt of speed. But like jnick said, that meter might not accurate.
Yesterday, night city driving, with some traffic and some clear highway from cheras to KL, I got 10L/100km on the meter. Good improvement when using the 5th gear a bit more.

12-14km/L... Wow, I really want that kind of fc.
Mine is manual.. I assume the CVt is more fuel efficient. =)

I will consider the KNN drop in filter. But hesitant the oil might dirty the O2 sensor. Haha
Can the O2 sensor be cleaned easily?

Thanks! I will take note.
Next time I refuel, I will calculate the proper way.
But still I feel a bit high fc. Yesterday got 10km/L on that meter. Maybe it is because of my 18" low profile tires.
Edit:
225/40R18. From my calculation, it is slightly bigger than the stock tire. That could be reason for the off calculation.. Maybe.

I believe its about time for me to service the car. Especially if it has been running on semi syth, instead of fully synth oil.
