Integration wise , UNA is just next to the commercial office block. Residents can always walk to the commercial block and use the bridge to SV.

I have been hanging out around  Jalan Peel lately. Apart from a few brisks mainland chinese own restaurants, i cannot feel what's the hype about this place. There are not many options for a nice drink in the vicinity save for the infamous one at ViVo Homes. Mabbe someone can enlighten me more.

Yah.....Urban Regeneration thingy. mabbe the the whole pudu area is slated to become another Kepong or Chulai.

I operated a cybercafe here way back before all the new highways were built. long before Ikea and Sunway sets their foot here. And i can tell you it was way dodgy place to be in. A favorite place for vice and drug peddlers (not to say it is not still) but good food to be found all night long.

This urban regeneration at Pudu may be compelling for some to invest here. But what is their main drive? For me I would not like to live around this area, unless investors have really great hopes that the mainland ppl will stay here for a long time and help setup businesses and push up rental/property prices. Or it may be because they are hoping for spillover effects from the nearby TRX development.

I used to live at the government quarters during my primary school days.

I used to ride my bicycle to the Queens Coffee shop all the time for tausa pau. Still operated by the same family but these days most of the older stalls have long since gone.

Most of the food that used to be famous aren't that good any longer or maybe am getting old and taste buds not as good as it used to be.

Still a favourite activity of mine is to drive to Pudu for claypot chicken rice and then go for a tausa pau for dessert.

Yes the wings are good as is the satay at the same place.

Ahh yes the infamous yong tau fu, used to be my after school lunch.

Never would have guessed this place would transform the way it did. Never would have guessed one day it would be home to high end developments as the Queens Park and Plaza 393 are mostly failures.

But there are other options nearby which are cheaper such as Platinum Mira, Parc3 and illi where the latter 2 are past the river. For the latter 2, just be aware that the surroundings are a bit dodgy and run down.

I remember that for those shoplots in and around Mira itself, a number of eateries and small businesses there open during the day, but at night, it's really quiet. The only part which is bright is where the bank branches are located. Reminds me of those shoplots surrounding Shamelin Star.

If more eateries and cafes (those that open until 10pm, that is) open up around there, I'm sure it'll liven up the area and make it more appealing.

For Phase 1's Block A, the starting price is around RM 850/sf. Only with the bigger units are you able to get below RM 800/sf. By the time I bought my unit in Block B, it was around RM 87x/sf.

But was a little surprised that the unit sizes shrunk for Phase 2's Block C until there aren't any 1,xxx sf units. Probably will only see them in Block D as the view there is better.
