probably the extension have specific biz in mind.
i.e. exhibition centre, tourist attraction hub (maybe an ice skating rink? or something), hotel, and of course complimentary retail lagi lah.

Kinda like both, but I still prefer to shop at MyTown coz the corridors inside is more spacious to walk around. Furthermore, I can get a discount when I park in there using TnG by buying some items at Ikea.
Must be a lot of interested buyers for the 635sf and 840sf units, I guess.

Please go check out velocity first lar. You need to observe the crowd behavior and the purpose to go there.

Both malls I also been there. From my see see look look Nu mall mostly because of interchange purpose. Also good link between little India and office towers. Opit workers can easily walk through there. If manyak crowd spread around the mall is a good sign, if manyak only walk in same line or opposite direction... jialat lor... you also know what happen. On weekend/ no work day for office... been there few time.. the crowd to shop shop there memang manyak jialat Low.

The crowd at velocity memang different, also not only workers crowd, sibeh manyak families crowd too... quite manyak tourist too.

Some F&B at Sunway velocity also super long Q during dinner time, Need wait 2 hours long to get a seat.

am not doubt FNB are doing great business. that alone cannot determine the overall performance of the mall is doing great.

anywhere so far no one has reported Velo city shops (other than FnB) are closing.

BUT make no mistake, siew York malls generally doing better, except phoenix mall and SS2 mall.....

Was at the sales gallery earlier today. Supposed to view it over the weekend but after viewing One Cochrane Residence and a round of walking at IKEA had to go for a steamboat fix at Velocity Mall.

Interesting project, seems would be very well integrated with Velocity Mall however kind of a far walk to get to the MRT station when compared to Cochrane.

Density a bit on the high side. Facilities, nothing special especially when compared to their other development such as Sunway Serene. Can't beat it for convenience as plenty of food places for all kinds of budget around the area and you can even find my favourite tausa pao less than 200m away.

Flipping potential? Nil, developer has already future priced it when compared against UNA and Laville.

Rental? Never realized the area was flooded with PRC nationals and judging by the number of China-styled steamboat restaurants mushrooming at Velocity Mall, I won't be surprised SV2 would be a favourite among them too. All this of course assumes you'd be willing to rent to that type of people.
Would I buy one? Hmmmmmmm..... Price a bit on the steep side for the location and I think would need to invest some big bucks in ID to get good rental rates.

Not sure about the whole area, but when you go sunway velocity mall, there are many china ppl, can hear china accent everywhere.

So sunway velocity mall can perform better among all new malls.  Many new malls in pj, Damansara, Bangsar south, Cheras, near klcc all failed /dying.
More commercial development will fail such as millerz, central park damansara, etc..
