somehow indo assets give me a feeling that they are obsolete.

may be their strategy was more on city war or flat terrain since their major city r mostly near to sea where there can used ship to transport them here and there compare malaysia which ground transport had more advancetage

Arena-3 covers 360 degrees in four quadrants with four modules,
each comprising two sensor modules.

A new active protection system from Russia appeared today at RAE-2013, as part of the display
of a series of upgrades offered to The T-72 main battle tanks.

The new system, dubbed Arena-3 covers 360 degrees in four quadrants with four modules,
which seems to comprise two sensors two effectors.

According to the manufacturer, two targets can be intercepted at each direction, at 0.3 second intervals.

The system is effective at elevation of +20 degrees and -6 degrees. It is designed to intercept projectiles
and missiles at a distance of 50 meters from the protected tank.

The previous configuration included multiple effectors and a high profile radar that has not received well
among tank crews.

According to the tank manufacturer Uralvagonzavod, the system is effective at target velocity of 70-1000 meter/second
(pertaining to RPGs, anti-tank missiles and HEAT tank rounds). The upgraded T-72 with Arena-3 weighs 46.5 tons.

yep i dont think we need to compete with our jiran, let them spending spree...we should buy thing when its necessary

we should focus on thing like;
1)sgpv weapon package
2)ngpv weapon package
3)mmrca with aew aircraft
4)esscomm radar, military base, equipment
5)forming marine brigade using same concept of 10 para by converting some ramd and ranger battalion into marine brigade
6)LPD/LHD => critical if we have a marine brigade, preferably mini dokdo
7)more antitank/antiair manpad, acog scope, grenade launcher and other army personnel equipment

after all of that we can start buying thing like marine brigade equipment like something transport heli, landing boat. Since we already bought av8 from what i understand it can be amphibious(correct me if im worng) hence maybe 30 out 250 av8 to be use by the marine, then buy something like this



2s25 sprut-sd can be airdrop or amphibious hence can be use by 10 para and the marine

more, maybe next 10 years if it me the defence ministry    we can start thinking buying 4 visby class replacing some old FAC, 4 more submarine, s300 and 5th gen aircraft pakfa
