QUOTE(blurjoey @ Aug 7 2018, 09:34 AM) Like all Korean dashcam, iRoad will be directly hardwired to your car fuse box. Almera will be quite easy to install as it's a sedan if you want to DIY. I see. So i skip the v series and direct for X9. In malaysia i think few hundard diff.V9 last time have recalled issues on the lens warping when too hot. Also, there have been some cases locally that the USB wifi burning out. Ane my car will pun under sunlight, will that kill the dash cam |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Sep 12 2018, 11:19 AM) iRoad is one of the low range Korean dashcam in Korea... But in Malaysia and Singapore is sold as premium dashcam... Singaporean have moved away iRoad dashcams due to quality issues and most using Blackvue & Thinkware more... Hmm..sound so bad...Quality issue happen on all model?..... Just get it about 2 weeks. |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Sep 12 2018, 11:28 AM) Last time the V9 got recalled for the out of focus lens issue due to heat... Yep. I meet the auto shutdown problem. It's too easy to kick in voltage protection. But sometime 4 hour still recording... Weird.X9 I saw in other forums the wifi dongle easily spoilt... TX9 at the moment my review unit not much issue. Sometimes auto shutdown itself while in parking mode due to their car battery protection kicked in... Never encountered this with my Thinkware F800 Pro before... The TX9 features are comparable to the F800 Pro... Most important you got a warranty for the iRoad with your iRoad seller... Wifi dongle can use computer dongle? |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Oct 29 2018, 04:00 PM) If you're considering using a powerbank to power the parking mode, please get a powerbank that is using lithium iron phosphate and not that powerbank you can buy in computer shops that use lithium ion. Hello, did the iroad have the function to press and mark the video?.Lithium ion not safe to use in hot weather. Mean if i hit someone. I can mark the video first, without taking out sd card and using pc one by one finding the timing. And i also plan wire x9 to cig power if i change to subaru forester, to prevent warranty void? |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Oct 29 2018, 04:09 PM) I'm not sure about the iRoad X9. Why don't you read the manual? Should be all in there. About the shock sensor. It just too sensitive, even i cross a bump. It beep.(saved?)Also if you have hit someone and the impact triggers the sensor, that video will be put into the emergency folder. All car manufacturers will void the warranty for anything not installed in the factory. |

QUOTE(silrave @ Feb 16 2019, 03:40 AM) dont think seek for upgrade With no offense. Unless you can make it solar powered, or some special power source, Otherwise no way can make it real 24/7.but i am thinking other than plug power bank got other alternative way to turn on 24 hours for dash cam Normally either powerbank(usb) or extra battery like blackvue model. And the car need some time to recharge battery. or it won't stay that long too. |

QUOTE(Zaryl @ Feb 18 2019, 10:24 AM) mine using xiaoyi dashcam for 2 years so far so good. 😂 Bro. Don't like hardwiring I can feel the same.during parking, i cover my dashcam using my cap to keep from prying eyes. and no, i don't like parking mode and don't like doing hardwiring or using external powerbank inside car which is dangerous. But powerbank they say wasn't 'the powerbank' that smartphone using. That was similar / same chemical like car battery lead acid. Or less flame able lifepo4 which can hold voltage longer period of time. |

QUOTE(abubin @ Feb 18 2019, 05:25 PM) Thanks for the info in lifepo4. Seems like a better solution than normal powerbank. This type can go up to 60c compared to normal powerbank of 50c. FYI, super capacitors can go up to 70c. I think can consider using this lifepo4 battery as it will be safer and simple plug and play. No need to do hardwiring. lifepo4 i actually meet on RC toy. for controller which doesnt need a lot of current and need hold voltage very well.I not sure how high C rate it can go. but i think blackvue and something similar powerbank was using lifepo4 if me recall correctly. but lifepo4 also need to connect to fuse for recharging itself while engine start...so....somehow it will back to starting point. unless the powerbank you buy support 12v charge from socket. and you didt care the extra cable running around your car..... |
