Locally got sellers selling iRoad, Blackvue, and Thinkware. Got a few more brands. But prices for Korean dashcam starts from rm1k and above.

iRoad and Blackvue stock are from Singapore while Thinkware has an authorized distributor in Seremban.

If I understand this, it’s like viofo parking mode will only start recording AFTER it detects the motion thus may miss the video of what cause it?
This is what I’m afraid of, battery drain 😰 I guess have to keep this feature off for now

Korean dashcam is what you require. But Korean dashcams is not as cheap as China dashcams.

Go for Thinkware dashcams as have local distributor and warranty.

Blackvue if not mistaken, the stock is grey imported from Singapore by local sellers. Best to check the warranty first.

Usually, Korean dashcam will hardwire to car fuse box for the parking mode. Anyway, all car manufacturer says void warranty for anything that is not factory installed.

Hi guys between Thinkware F200 and Blackvue DR590W which one is best bang for buck? I got quote for RM1300 for the F200 and RM1900 for the DR590W..

I need to have the parking mode function as my carpark is beside walkway and kids always play around the car..

Another thing is this Viofo WR1 good? price quite reasonable and the camera is small and cute..maybe wanna put it in my other car..

For the price of the DR590W, I can get the previous high range, Thinkware F770 with built-in GPS and ADAS features. No need to get something like the power magic Pro too.

DR590W is new model if not mistaken.

For rm2k, I think Thinkware F770 is a better choice. Have GPS built-in and no need to purchase external device for parking mode.

Can also consider the B1W

All Thinkware comes with hardwire kit only. If you need ciggie port power, then you'll need to purchase the car charger separately. But you won't be able to use the parking mode and it will be a waste of the dashcam.

Hardwire kit for me is easier. Just unplug the 2 fuse taps if need to bring back to service center for any troubleshooting.

I guess thinkware has the same function as it record 10sec before and after the impact as well.

Anyway im buying from QOO10 Singapore. Front and rear + 32GB card for SGD 529.

The card was so expensive, i paid for sgd 40 to upgrade from 16gb to 32gb😢

Anyway warranty should not be an issue, anything happen i can just bring back to the Singapore official store as most of the time I'm staying in Singapore actually.

All car manufacturers say "not install from the factory is void warranty"...

Thinkware micro SD cards are all MLC chips based that's why is it expensive. OEM by Lexar Korea to Thinkware. Now very rare can find made in Korea Lexar cards. Only OEM is made in Korea. Other is made in China.

Others value for money cards are mostly TLC chips and the read/write speed is insufficient and cause error. Avoid Sandisk Ultra.

I've upgraded to 64GB Thinkware card myself. Now planning to get a 128GB MLC card from another brand to test on my F800 Pro.

FYI - Samsung Evo Plus 64GB and 128GB have higher rated read/write speed than it's 32GB counterpart.

Which cam can be dismantle easily? Scare someone will break glass and steal the cam

mine using xiaoyi dashcam for 2 years so far so good.

during parking, i cover my dashcam using my cap to keep from prying eyes.
and no, i don't like parking mode and don't like doing hardwiring or using external powerbank inside car which is dangerous.

$199 at Amazon.com. was planning to get one but some reviews said the quality is bad. Like what you said, can't capture clear plate number.
