It's about 3 times more expensive than the current one. Would be a good and cheap alternative to the gopro4.
Did you try resetting? If yes, it might be hardware problem then. As a last resort try to flash the firmware manually again and see.

Hi Eddie, the red light will blink when only it is being charged. Once fully charged, only the orange light will blinking - stating that the recording is in progress. No worries.

juz test yourself:

a) 60fps vs 30fps, which one u see is clearer? then pick it. generally the answer is 60fps.

b) do u see poorer night scene in 1296 than 1080? bcoz each pixel getting lower light input during night time

the press writer suggest 1080 60fps rather than 1296 30fps

1296 more like a marketing hype, bcoz the chips may actually native 1080 then add in additional 216 by way of interpolated or any other to make it 1296, but it not a native 1296 chip

another matter is, the life span of memory card greatly reduced by higher resolution, ie micro sd card die faster

i check the xiaoyi A12 self-label chip is actually novatek nt96660, which is a native 1080 processor

Choose 1080p 60fps for this cam.

Btw did you try powering the dashcam with a powerbank and see if the LED light comes on.

Your dashcam is working fine. Under bright sunlight it's not that visible on mine too, once you go into shaded area it's easy to see.

For the cabling is depends on the car actually... For me, Honda (City & HRV) is easy to install via the rubber lining or the A pillar... Perodua (Viva & Axia) a bit hard to go thru the rubber lining but it's best to go through the A pillar...

You can google for video on how to hide the dashcam cables. Also depends if you dare to DIY or not... If DIY you need a bit of time to experiment... Accessories shop will be faster if you don't want to DIY...

DIY will take about 30-60 minutes if it's your first time...

Learned something new about micro SD cards to be used in dashcams...

Yesterday my wife's 64gb sandisk ultra died... Not used in dashcam also... My friend who works in Thunder Match said Sandisk micro sd cards spoilt more often than other brands...

actually under Q&A section of a plenty car cam manufacturers already mention Sandisk brand is not compatible to their cam.

there is no need to boycott, juz he don read manufacturer info thoroughly (or he never been informed).

btw, sandisk card already express terms of warranty void if using for dashcam? this is quite informative.

so far my sandisk microsd cards are not giving me any problems. i got two problematic kingston microsd instead so far.

Didn't aware the differences between all class 10 microSD card. 
Currently I'm using 32GB SANDISK ULTRA® microSD UHS-I for my Xiaoyi Dashcam 



Guess I have to spend more on better microSD card.

Yi vs Mijia - Day


I really don't know why after joining the video from Yi dashcam... Will be 1 second slower than Mijia dashcam...    

Actually on the mijia is clearer than the Yi for both night and day... Only the mijia have a darker video which I hope new firmware will fix this...
