You can consider buying the Nimitz rear view mirror mount.

I have tried Nimitz. dry.gif
But the ball joints are kinda rattling quite badly, so I ended up using back the original suction mount.

Now the suction mount is broken. bangwall.gif

Guys, FYI just avoid ddpai mini 2 at all cost due to reboot cycling.
Some blame it on overheating, but that's not the case.

It randomly shut down for few minutes even it was raining & weather is very cold yesterday.

The weather might be cold but the internal might be hot. Perhaps you can open the casing and drill holes on it to allow for better ventilation?
A forum member at DCT did just that plus installing a fan and it doesn't help a bit.

Anyway, if you need to drill the cam to release the heat, it means ddpai mini 2 is really badly designed in the first place.

The cam randomly reboots when I started my car in cold weather too...

Tried my level best to sync the video to the same frame... Sorry still noobie in video editing...

Yes the 360 distance look a bit blur compared to the mijia...

From your video, I like 360 more, less contrast & more natural color.
But i also noticed that 360 is very slow to change the exposure when entering a tunnel (or under bridge).

Does xiaomi has any product with capacitors? Or they only make Dashcam with batteries?

2 of my xiaoyi's dashcam that put on my 2 cars are still functioning well after over a year.

always parking, i always put my cap to cover the dashcams from would-be eye prying thieves. perhaps that is the reason of the prolonged life of my dashcams.

Mine is an open car park at my workplace...the battery died super fast

Mine XiaoYi dashcam Gen1 already two years - bought on Aug 2016, still work well.
I also park in open car park area too.

The reason why this still work perfectly well - I always remove the dashcam and put in compartment that not expose to sunlight, this could be the main reason.  hmm.gif

It’s a good dashcam. It is also very affordable, the only downside is the battery. Still waiting for capacitor version one day.
I replaced it with DDPai mini2 which had overheating issue instead. but I managed to bandaid it by drilling ventilation holes on the casing...many many holes.
