QUOTE(AnythingK @ Oct 11 2013, 11:21 AM) I always thought Roberto Di Matteo did an awesome job when he left to managing Chelsea half way, and it is so sudden. But he took it over and managed it accordingly and winning 2 major trophies. If I were to be honest, he was pretty luck to get some of the results which led to the trophies. So yea, I have no idea what the owner was smoking at that time. That's winning a freaking damn CL, and all he get is sacked. QUOTE(bearbear @ Oct 11 2013, 11:23 AM) Still young and can improve but would need more match time. Loaning him out could be good for him.QUOTE(bitebug @ Oct 11 2013, 11:30 AM) We need to get Alonso back in January so that Stevie can be rotated. He's the only choice that the fans and Stevie himself will approve of for him to be sitting on the bench. We need to beat Cheski for this one. QUOTE(bearbear @ Oct 11 2013, 11:35 AM) Only issue is his age and wage. He is out of contract on June and we can sign him on pre contract on January 1...but if we are getting cheap considering he is in his last year it might work? QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Oct 11 2013, 11:43 AM) JM want him... |

QUOTE(Rotuham @ Oct 13 2013, 07:30 PM) I think if alonso comes he will probably take lucas' position. That still leaves us needing an attacking mid in the mkhitaryan/lampard mould.I am really not sure if gerrard can be the box to box player we need. Gerrard lacks the pace he used to have. That Koke kid from A.Madrid seems nice though. Yamelenko also not bad QUOTE(dillonyong @ Oct 13 2013, 10:33 PM) WHAT? If we are near to top of the table comes January, a big signing could well be a good way to boost our chance of finishing higher than top 4. Plus, it helps to convince the likes of Coutinho and Suarez that the club is moving forward. We can always loan Alberto out for experience like we did with suso.I know some of us will jump in and say "But Alberto is not a 1st team player". if you never give a chance to that Alberto lad, he will never be first team potentiall at all. Plus, Who can replace Coutinho at this current form? And who will come to LFC in January just to sit on the bench? Dont waste money la. Once we sign someone "big", coutinho would probably swap to the left , leaving Moses to bench. I just read a survey on Liverpool Echo. One of us actually stated that he worries the left flank with both players all on loan from other clubs. So, these might be the area we can aim for big players. Digne was linked once... and in recent, Menez, Alonso and Koke are linked for the center. |

Out of the midfielders we have, Allen and Lucas are going to be the one being shipped out.
Hendo has great engine and can both attack and defend. And Coutinho will be playing at the hole. As such, I cant really see any more spot for Lucas and Allen if we are to sign any more midfielders. |

QUOTE(hfi @ Oct 14 2013, 06:56 PM) That's because he was used more as a defensive midfielder when Lucas was recovering from injury. He wasn't bought for his defensive quality but more for his ability on the ball and he hasn't really been given the chance to fulfill that role. I hope he gets his chance this season because imo, he's a natural central midfielder where as Hendo is more like a utility player. People like Hendo is not appreciated much but in long term, it is vital for the club because he can fill in any part and still do a decent job. Role like this is of course very much underappreciated as compared to Allen's role of attacking and spreading passes to create chances. However, imo, if there is one to sacrifice between Allen, Lucas and Hendo, I would pick Allen and if Allen starts performing, I would then sacrifice Lucas. I would save Hendo last because very much like Kolo Toure who can fill RB, CB and DM, these are the players that who can give a lot more than the other. He reminds me a little of young gerrard who plays RB, RW, LW, CM , DM and moves to AM and then SS under rafa. They are important.Lucas can be sacrificed mainly because if(and ONLY IF) Alonso is coming, he would have spend more time on bench since Gerrard and Alonso would be rotating the the deep lying role. We would also have Toure, Sakho and Agger all being capable of playing at DM. But like I said, it all starts with IF and ended up with nothing usually. Doubt Alonso will be coming but if he did, it would be a great lift to the way now that we have a midfield general who can dictate play more effectively that anyone in the squad. QUOTE(dillonyong @ Oct 14 2013, 08:08 PM) Dont sell anyone. Well, just dont buy anyone either. As a matter of fact, I think we actually need to get someone in to keep the competition fierce. More often than not the players get complacent and lose posession in the middle of the park during the second half. This has to be addressed because we wont get lucky everytime by keep defending for the 2nd 45minutes.Save up for quality player rather than filling the quantity for the sake of filling it. Dont reinvent the wheel that is currently working until it is worth investing further. Gosh, really no accountant here? All IT, Sales, Marketing? |

And if anyone is naive enough to think that Skrtel is staying after putting in zsome good performance lately, forget it. Downing played well second half of last season and still ended up being sold. I would assume that Skrtel would be gone comes January and the likes of Wisdom, Kelly, Ilori would fight for the spot

QUOTE(lerijiso @ Oct 16 2013, 09:40 AM) Had a stupid dream last nite..Beckham went to Swansea and supplied two goals for Shelvey in the dying minutes and Swansea won that game 2-1. I dont remember who the opponent team are. That useless dream..wasting my dream quota only. Are you saving the quota for some wet dream?Anyway..last nite, Gerrard scored, Dagger scored 2 penalties for Denmark and Suarez scored one pen for Uruguay. |

As usual, everything is Suarez's fault. Wins penalty also his fault... Referee gives also his fault...
No one says Argentina field weaker team but the headlines come out is that Suarez's controversial penalty decisive factor of match. What the hell? |

Allen has potential but he ought to have done it consistently given how pricey he was.
He won the player of the month when he first came. He certainly has the quality in him but he need to display it on consistent basis to warrant a first team spot. |

QUOTE(dillonyong @ Oct 16 2013, 08:26 PM) 2nd time we are in agreement! Borini always at the right place too but the finishing was rubbish though. Maxi is truly an intelligent player. Tricky and always seem to beat his opponent in finding the right place at the right time. Experience really speaks volume in this type of player. |

I would prefer discussion on the next game or even January transfer than dwelling on those petty matter. I think someone should forgive and forget and start posting the next game...
I will start with one. Read that Steven Taylor is doubtful for the game. |

Cardiff veteran Bellamy questions Wales capping Liverpool teen Wilson
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Thu, 10/17/2013 - 07:04 Share on email Share on print Cardiff City veteran Craig Bellamy is critical of Wales capping 16 year-old Liverpool winger Harry Wilson. Manager Chris Coleman confirmed that Wales had been made aware that Wilson, who was born in Wrexham, could have qualified for Roy Hodgson’s team via his grandmother, who was born in Chester. "I’m not sure about it," the 34-year-old, who is the third most highly capped player in his country’s history, said. "I really don’t know. "I think Harry’s a talent. I think he’s going to do well in the years to come. But I’d like to see him do well first (before being capped). "I don’t mean that in a bad way, but 16 years old is young, it’s really young. "He can’t play for anyone else now but is that really the most important thing? I’ve known him for some time and I’ve seen his progress. He’s great. "I’ve taken an interest in it because he’s the same age as my boy. So it’s one of those. I’d like to see the lad given a chance. "I’m just not sure about it at the age of 16. There’s plenty more time to address the situation." |
