Maybe suso is more suited to spanish football.
EPL is much more aggressive than la liga.
Diego costa scored the winner against real.He could be the next torres.

QUOTE(carloz28 @ Sep 29 2013, 06:06 PM) Why not?atletico madrid have produced world class strikers in succession.torres, aguero, falcao now costa.I am not claiming to be an oracle. It's just from observation.Even spain want to call him up to their squad. |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Sep 29 2013, 06:17 PM) aspas also scored 12 goals in his first season in la liga...thats 1 short of what torres did in his first la liga season there...means aspas too could be the next torres...pffft. Inappropriate comparison. What was torres age in his first la liga season? a 18-19 year old scoring 12 goals compared to a 25 years old scoring 12goals?Besides one played for a champions league team while another played for relegation battlers.Totally different set of expectations and pressure. |

A few days ago people dismissed that sakho was a success.
Yesterday game proved that he has potential to displace agger. It's nice to have this kind of options for cb If only we had such options in midfield we would be dominating. 4wins 1 draw 1 lose out of 6 even when we are not at our best and 2nd placed.I support BR fully although I dont agree with all of his decisions. |

Well lucas gets his usual 5 yellow card suspension like every other season.
in his absence against crystal palace we will find out if he's an asset or liability to the team.If we struggle,we probably underestimated his presence but if we are great that's probably the beginning of an end. This post has been edited by Rotuham: Oct 1 2013, 10:56 PM |

Took this from lfc forums.

QUOTE(carloz28 @ Oct 2 2013, 06:26 PM) And sugarcoaters say BR has a huge success in transfer market. Dunno how many times that Coutinho and Sturridge case study have been recycled, just like the Lucas Leiva story. if you compare with what kenny and roy did then BR is a massive success.all our best performers this season have been BR's buys.Toure,mignolet,sturridge.Who are our poor performers this season? Gerrard, lucas, henderson.None of whom BR bought. Getting suarez to stay itself was a big success. Never in recent times has a liverpool manager been able to stop a star player from leaving. Rafa couldnt stop owen or alonso leaving, roy couldn't stop mascherano leaving and kenny couldn't stop torres leaving. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Oct 3 2013, 11:13 AM) I don't see how BR has been any less successful than Rafa or Houllier in the transfer market. Notable signings were Daniel Agger, Xabi Alonso, Martin Skrtel, Glen Johnson, Javier Mascherano, Fernando Torres, Lucas, Dirk Kuyt and Pepe Reina. On the flip side of the coin were the likes of Robbie Keane, Fernando Morientes, Josemi, Antonio Nunez, Jermaine Pennant, Sebastian Leto, Andrea Dossena, Andriy Voronin, Phillip Degen, Albert Riera, Alberto Aquilani, Milan Jovanovic and Ryan Babel. To be fair, some came on a free transfer but my point is there were a fair share of flops as well. I think it's the same with any manager at any club. I agree. It's not that I felt Br was inferior to rafa in the transfer market. In fact I feel its the opposite.I just didn't want to mention rafa as it would open a new debate on here which would never end.So I played it safe by talking about our more recent managers. As you quite rightly put though, I think BR and FSG played a massive part in Suarez staying. Rafa on the other hand pissed Alonso off and one wonders what would have been had Xabi stayed? Having said that this isn't an attack on any manager, it is to point out that almost every manager will have more failed or average signings that successful ones. Fact. The xabi situation was a difficult one.He was poor before that master class season. So rafa was right to think about selling him. What rafa failed to do was to improve his rapport with alonso throughout the season that would have made him stay. His poor man management skills left us short. He never made players love him.Players under rafa respected him but players under mourinho loved him. That's the difference. |

3-5-2 was used under kenny when we played chelsea at sb and meireles scored the winner. We dont have a choice considering our injuries and I believe 352 is only useful against big teams away.We can't expect to dominate teams in possession with this formation.
I still think 433 is the best.It is one which has given barca and chelsea a lot of success at europe and domestic level. |
