I reckon that Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs and the mancs are still better teams and realistically, I see us finishing behind them, potentially pipping Spurs. Much will depend on the January transfer window of course.  I don't see Everton maintaining this momentum until the end of the season. Brilliant move to get Lukaku though. Wonder what Mourinho was thinking? Eto spent a season in wilderness and he's preferred to a young, hungry, powerful forward who is on fire for both club and country? Go figure.

I feel Spurs would be very difficult to beat because of their squad depth, especially in midfield. If anything, I think we can pip Utd probably. tongue.gif

Still too early to tell though. I'd love for us to be back in the top 4 come May 2014, although it's a really tough ask. If BR can add a quality replacement in defensive midfield in January, we should be challenging for the top 4 at least.

it's funny the decision is judged based on the player's previous record rather than how serious the offend he did it rite?

it's like u are freed from punishment after kill a people coz u did it for the first time but u'll get punished if u already had a crime before in ur past

The FA is being consistent. Consistent in being inconsistent.

Btw guys, the SaS duo really impressive and deadly, one of the best pair in EPL now.

But don't you guys think Sturridge a bit greedy? He use many chances by trying himself. And looking back his goal vs CP, he could easily pass to Moses or Sterling, but he choose the hard way to dribble and get the shot himself. And yea, he still score anyway, but I really hope he not to get too greedy.
*
Can't blame him. A player high on confidence will just try to score from any angle. Suarez used to dribble past players on the byeline and gets his shots away somehow from the tightest of angles sometimes. Frustrates the hell out of me at times but when it goes in just watch in awe lo.. haha

From the official site :
"Brendan Rodgers today backed Jose Enrique to prove why he has all the attributes to become one of the finest left-backs in the Barclays Premier League."

"There's no doubt that on his day he's one of the best in that position in this country."

Read the whole thing.

The problem is, he is not "on his day" more often than not. laugh.gif

Gerrard looked really happy after scoring last nite. The same kind of reaction you saw when he scored against Olympiakos...
*
Of course. His goal sealed the win and England's qualification. And for sure this will be his last World Cup too.

I have to agree with solstice818, lets put on our opinions on the next game against Newcastle.

With Gerrard having two games in a row, i bet Brendan will rest him or bring him on in the 2nd period or not at all. With Coutinho, Allen, Johnson, Cissokho in the contention of returning to first team, i wouldn't want Brendan to take the risk of starting him. Newcastle isn't an easy opponent though they look vulnerable in defence.

Suarez looks hungry for goals and so does Sturridge..
*
Don't think Gerrard will be rested in any league game under BR unless he's injured or it's a really insignificant match towards the end of the season, no matter how much football he's played for his country. Hopefully Johnson is available to start. Gives the team a more solid look at least on the right flank instead of Sterling.

You're just adding oil and kerosine into a raging fire, bro laugh.gif

I'd rather not see heated arguments amongst fans just because of a difference of opinion.

Now, now...calm down guys..

I feel the game against Newcastle couldn't come any sooner..too much debate going on in here..at least the game would provide something else to talk about..
