Crap... Impulse purchase at Sony Centre Melaka..

RM2399 for. Incl 2 years warranty, casing and SP (both only come next week).

There was another person before me who bought 3 units...

Dock is incl I'm the std package. (For the 1st batch, I was told)

The device is snappy, one of the immediate cons I notice is the power button..it is much harder to press compare to my ZL

Has anyone tried rooting their Z1 using Vroot?

Maybe it is only the case and sp, but the sales person told me that he will only register my device on the 4th. So if there is any other free gift from the launch promotion, he'll let me know

Yea, Vroot is pretty easy to use, except it is in Chinese...and also the superuser app installed is in Chinese as well (already uninstalled it and installed supersu instead)

they're still using different display panel for Z1 like they did for their previous model, the white unit i saw in AEON Melaka Sony Centre has perfect viewing angle (no washout), the unit i bought is better than my ZL but not by much.

1)Wifi seems slightly weaker than my ZL
2) Not in LTE coverage
3)hvnt stress test the camera yet

From my bedroom, I have trouble getting Wifi Signal from my linksys AE4200 located in the living room downstairs. My iPad 3 & ZL have intermittent connection in my bedroom as well, just that Z1 wifi reception is slightly weaker, just slightly. If i turn on my wifi repeater located in another room, it should be fine then (hvnt tested)

2nd that, My Pebble is connected to my phone 24/7.

The uses for my watch now are as follow:
1. receive notifications from the apps selected
2. Able to view & reject incoming calls as well as monitor the call duration
3. Control my music player
4. View weather and calendar for any appointment
5. Change the volume or silence my phone from my watch
6. Use it with Tasker and automatically require passcode on my phone when my watch is disconnected from my phone
7. Read Msgs and reply using preset msgs

and etc.

yup, using third party apps. (I'm using "PebbleApps" for reading sms, weather and agenda.

I'm pretty sure Sony Smart Watch 2 is much more capable than pebble.

(strangely, the Z1 magnatic cable no need to use PISEN to charge my Z1 through powerbank, but will only charge through my laptop usb if i use it with PISEN)

add one more to the comparison IMOS..

some of the Xperia Z owner have water went into their phone due to loosen flaps....that's my concern on loosen flaps.
