stupid Z1 still having BSOD

Dont know. The optimised backlight setting was on back then. After plugging in my USB to transfer file, the screen doesnt turn back on for no reason.

Disabled the optimised backlight and see how it goes now.

Turn off the backlight feature. Dont need to sell your phone.

err.. if u follow the XZU thread, his XZU screen got big diiferent in display quality after turning off the optimised backlight feature. but some other user reported only minor difference

for the yellow hue, i found one solution .download screen adjuster from google play. make blue +6. tadaaaa!!

well, it's just a temp workaround.

last time i also use this on my acro s as i find the display is too "white" and look washout on certain games. but after updates from sony, it solved the problem and i have since deleted the screen adjuster

tis is temp solution i would say.

this count as defective unit? i dont think they will entertain.

to be honest. i checked total 6 sets in the sony center. 6 screens color all the same.

optimised backlight on, adapt to lighting on, phone function as per normal

Switch settings optimised backlight off, phone function normal.

Restarts phone with backlight off, Sony logo turns up, phone turn blank with backlight remained on for 5 minute before i decide to hard reset from the SIM tray. Phone vibrates 3 times.

Turning on the phone again, same thing happens, SONY logo turn up and screen turn blank again with backlight on. xperia logo turn up after 2 minute and booted with wave animation and home screen appear. Turn off display with power button, screen shuts up completely. Attempt to turn on the screen fails. Force reset needed again.

Second reset attempt successful wih xperia logo appears instantly. Phone behaves normal now with display setting optimised backlight off and adapt to lighting on.

Restarts phone for 3rd time. Screen halted again after sony logo. Xperia logo appears after 2 or 3 minute. Home screen loaded with maximum brightness, and sudden dimmed and regain brightness.

Turned off display with power button. Screen cant turn back on again.

Same behaviour again after hard reset with screen halted for 2 3 minute after Sony logo. Home screen loaded with backlight at maximum. Power off screen immediately will turn off the display but the backlight remained on. Pressing power button again and the screen turns back on with max backlight. Phone functioned normal with backlight problem.
Developing.

mine straight on has no yellowish hue, diff angle then got yellowish hue. my friend's straight on has yellowish hue, but diff angle colors are okay.

so annoying lah

maybe we should all call in service center, let them know this is affecting alot of users so that it becomes a major issue and can one to one exchange.. after all we paid premium leh

I found out sumthing.can.u guys please check for me? Off the screen and put under sunlight or light,the screen will reflects sumthing,like.bee hive shape all over the screen. Is tat normal?my z ultra doesnt has this.

Just tested Z1 @ Sony Gardens.. put next to Xperia Ultra..yup..their Z1 unit also yellowish. oh well.

1st time see people actually hate 1020 compared to z1
