Hi everyone, I had a problem with my lumia 1020 and wondering if someone could help on this. I don't receive notification from my whatsapp anymore after I updated to Lumia Blac. Anyone could help?

I wonder will Nokia release a successor to the 1020 anytime soon? Read rumours about the 1820 but nothing solid so far. I'm so close in getting a 1020 but the processor kinda makes me back off a bit.

No probably not anytime soon even one year of this also I doubt they will make anything that is like 1020.
And processor with better specs? Dude this is not Android btw. WP8 doesn't require you to have a good processor for it to not lagg. Even with good processor Android still lags.
Everything is fast and even smoother on WP8 if you compare with Android.

Even iPhone 5 with not that much core can beat Samsung one with a lot of cores.
What matters is the optimization of the OS not the processor or specs.

I know the OS is fast, its the image processing time is worrying me a tad bit.

At first it was slow, but not anymore bro.
Maybe you read some reviews, probably all outdated since they don't update about it with the latest firmware update.
Numerous update has fixed this issue. Plus if you want multiple shots there is Smart Cam for that

Tried the phone out today, at Nokia One Utama. Camera was superb, as expected. The 1020 on display was still using Amber.. I guess the processing time isn't that bad.

I have no qualms with the OS's speed, I know WP is fast. What about future updates, will 1020 receive updates too?

Yeah it will receive update. We are waiting for the WP Blue which has the notification centre, siri like voice companion and other cool features.

The Black update somehow managed to consume less battery usage which is good. Back in Amber, Data on 3G would last me during office hours till dinner time.. however in Black, Data on LTE would last slightly longer up till before bedtime, and this is on frequent checks on FB, 6tag, emails, and sometimes a quick game sessions too..
