Ignite Engine

Bundesliga clubs Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich in FIFA 13 (above) and FIFA 14 (below).

A new engine called the Ignite Engine will be used in FIFA 14 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions only. This features both graphical and game-play changes such as Human Intelligence to make players react more like the real thing, True Player Motion to create more realistic movement from the players and more realism to the way environmental features like weather and stadium crowd dynamics develop during play. A PC port of the version with Ignite Engine was in the works, but eventually it was cancelled.

Licenses

Following an agreement between the Union of Professional Football Players of Montenegro, FIFPro and EA Sports, for the first time Montenegro national football team will be featured in upcoming FIFA 14 as a fully licensed team, as well as in next FIFA game series. 21 Brazilian clubs are licensed: all 20 from the 2013 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A season as well as Palmeiras. FIFA 14 will also include Chile's Campeonato Nacional Petrobras, Colombia's Liga Postobón and the Argentine Primera División. The Brazilian national team has also been licensed after not being licensed since FIFA 10. Upon announcement that Robert Lewandowski was to appear on the Polish cover of FIFA 14, it was also announced that the Poland National Football Team was to be fully licensed, alongside the Ekstraklasa in FIFA 14, as they had not been in previous games of the FIFA series. The Wales national football team will return in FIFA 14 according to Football Association of Wales commercial director, Ian Davis, who confirmed that they’ve reached an agreement with EA that will see Wales represented in future versions of the game.

Ultimate Team

The FIFA Ultimate Team game mode will feature exclusive downloadable content on the Xbox 360. On the Xbox 360, there is a new feature for Ultimate team known as Legends, where players can acquire classic players from different eras of football such as Pelé and Dennis Bergkamp. EA has also announced that they will be reintroducing the "single online match", where players are allowed to play a single match that doesn't contribute to tournaments or seasons. You can now also search for players by name on the transfer market from the squad screen. Marcel Khun and Tyler Blair discuss the chemistry changes in the FUT 14 trailer along with many other changes, including being able to edit kit numbers and player role for free kicks or corners. FUT seasons have been extended from 5 divisions to 10. You will also be allowed to carry over coins and points from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and from PS3 to PS4.

Online features

A new 2v2 online seasons mode, known as Co-op Seasons, has been announced where players can play with one other friend against 2 online players. Match Day has also been expanded to affect online seasons modes.

I already played fifa14 playing world class
This game is really hard to get used to compared with fifa 12,13
It may takes a long time .. And cannot press run (r2) after receive a ball if not opponent easily take the ball away. But it might be different if playing online

Graphic improved . Through ball looks more realistic.Good news is fifa12 celevration is back.. This time it will zoom in the celebration and no linesman getting in the way

FIFA 14 looks good. Any comments on PES 14? (off the record) question.

is that the 1st touch error system? have they improved it or fixed it? it bothers me in fifa13 where a slow ball could result in disastrous 1st touch, most of the time.. even for good players.

I played both fifa and pes on manual, so i kinda like team play. pes14 improved a lot to me compared to pes13. i bought both fifa13 and pes13, but i only play pes13 like <50 games, lol.
as I prefer team play, the thing i focus on is teammate AI movement. pes14 AI auto movement is really nice.. manage to pull off nice move and through ball few times. but the manual trigger is a bit hard as you have to press L1 and push right stick where u want them to run, but that also give more freedom. with new animation, i find it enjoyable to watch replays which i hate in pes13 robotic movement, lol. conclusion, pes14 to me is a game where it encourages you to be creative in games

I like the game very much just like how I like the demo but even with more love.
I have only one complain the menu is really slow, because of the tile design and all, it loads quite slow as a lot of information is being thrown to poor PS3 at 1 time.
Other than that excellent game, I have to say there is more mechanism and yes more realistic as well, it's like having ignite engine already.......but not zzzzz

Tried to buff up all of my Liverpool player before starting career mode.. seems like i cant make my players superman anymore sob sob

Career mode is pretty nice
- streamlined menu
- global transfer network is a very good addition.. very FM like..
- players can grow stats.. and form up or down.. like!
- commentators commenting on new transfers.. even give remark about players nearing retirement..
- Llori, Sakho, Moses not in lfc..
- poor rating for for some players like Ibe huhuhu i wish can buff him up so i could use him

hope there's improvement on Virtual Pro Club! can't wait to try that out!

Biggest dissapointment for me is that in manager mode there is no more way to search by player rating, have too google for player rating, damnit. Global transfer network is nice and all but they don't need to force us to use it zzz.

I don't think i'm gonna be serious with this Fifa until Playstation 4 version is out with ignite engine.

EDIT : That one looks like next gen carryover (from PS3 to PS4).

I meant what else besides points can carry over from FIFA 13 to FIFA 14.

Collected my game already. But still stuck at work. Can't wait to go home and play.

Managed to play 3 friendly matches wt the computer.
Tougher to play against them this time around compared to Fifa13..

General
- Created a new VP and got suprised that i'm already 78 rated.. 81 after buying some boosts from the Catalogue.
- some traits like Fancy Pass, Diving Header etc are buy-able from the Catalogue

Drop in

- drop in now allow maximum of 5v5 only.. no more 11vs11
- no more ANY in drop in (yay!)

Pro Club

- apparently they removed the kit selection screen (with player list of each team).. once you found an opponent, it goes straight to the arena loading screen
- i believe we can't no longer quit within 5 min of the match
- that means people wont be able to be choosy on which team they play against (yay!)
- but whether we will get clashing kits or matched against uneven team (like 3 vs 11) are remained to be seen

Is it just me or the DLCs can't redeem yet? I bought R3 version and playing on HK PSN

After contacting EA's customer support, the DLC's are only redeemable on the 27th which is the worldwide release

Ah, that explains everything to everyone wondering why their FUT gold packs havent come yet

iinm they said that we will still see our chosen kit and the opponent will still see their chosen kit..for example, both teams are using brazil and home kit as their kit...on our screen we will see our own team still using the home kit n opponent using the away...same goes to the opponent...

No.. Once it start u must redeem it within that week if not u will miss 1 week gold pack
Last time fifa13 i lost mine, and u must open the pack every 24 weeks.. If you miss 1 week, u can only get 23 weeks

Yes very easy to score with headers in 14.
I don't know why but everytime I take a corner the probability of it scoring would be 75%.
Too easy imo, or maybe it's just for Arsenal with Kos, Per and Giroud.

Im arsenal fan too but always avoid giroud.. He easily lose ball and slow but will try him wanna make arsenal squad
