Actually it's true. If all you intend to do is play games, watch media and surf web, you really don't need a PC.
I'm already doing that with a modifed XBOX (although the web surfing part is limited in many ways).
MS isn't any better. Why the XBOX360 needs to hook up to a Windows Media PC?? It can do all those things without it but MS cleverly locked into the WMPC to boost that market segment.
Screw em All.
Hail to Nintendo!!!

QUOTE(ImanAzlan @ Jun 7 2006, 08:43 AM) I wonder, does PS3 have 500GB SATA drive? Or does PS3 have Intel Pentium D 3.0 Ghz? Or, can I burn CD via PS3? Can anyone answer this?? 1) No, but it's upgradeable. And i suppose connecting a LANDISK to a local network shouldn't be much of a problem. 2) No. No Intel inside. But a 3.2Ghz Cell processor. Pentium D is just so yesterday anyway. 3) No. Pirated copies of software not allowed.

QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ Jun 10 2006, 10:01 PM) But really...look on the bright side...some of us could be having PS3 in our labs at the Uni coz they replaced all the pc with them. Isn't that something to look forward to? The problem will be, everyone busy playing games and nobody is doing their assignment!!! LOL.
