I never misunderstood your statement.

Even people paid more is people right and like. It not affecting you, means you no need to bother as well.
*
Right. That Andrew guy think he is one smarter chap who knows how to spend money better.
He forgot that are many who don't mind paying extra knowing very well the additional amount BUT such consumers are not dumb n you cannot say they are not smart consumers
To such consumers extra 300-500 ringgit could just be a drop in the ocean only. They don't even want to think about such extra money. For me paying rm2k is just pocket change
If I like something earlier I don't mind paying a few hundred more. N I proudly still say I am a smart consumer
I agree he is definitely wrong to say only smart consumers will not overpay

Andrewtho; you started the whole issue saying about smart consumers n your idea of what constitute a smart consumer. I am simply saying you are wrong in simplifying what a smart consumer should be n how he must behave
Anyway consider this subject closed n go back to talk about Note3. Btw I m not so enamoured by it that I am willing to pay any extra for it. I will just wait for my online order to be delivered n I pay a lower price than official rm2399.

yeah, his shop name is item.com, i know where already because i work in summit usj office tower. i wanted to get my note 2 there before but i don't dare because i don't know how trustworthy this seller is. fruitie jie and nid4z mind sharing your experience buying from them? or is this your first time nid4z?
*
I have been buying from him since 7 years ago. There times at his shop n 4 times through poslaju. Highly recommended seller zero problems. Don't know why some will complain. There will always be some bad buying experience but mine was perfect. On poslaju I got item next day once payment made. Similarly as directd this seller not those friendly type lah!! Anyway it just take a small drop of black ink to taint a glass of clear water. I suppose those with bad experience just couldn't resist dropping in that drop of black ink.

Since unker benny think they are not friendly type, I guess they are not good seller then. sad.gif

Same like directd but to me friendliness not important. it is reliability in dealing. Even Satugadget you meet only ah beng n ah lian type of guys/gals serving you.
But they are well reputed too. Both directd n Satugadget I also highly recommend.

Yes but sadly very few or none do 1 to 1 exchange. vmad.gif

Even SEP resellers are reluctant to give you 1-1 exchange unless you ask for it on the spot during purchase. So far policy wise only HTC n Apple gives you 1-1 exchange BUT are usually refurbished sets.

So our right has come down to this ya. As long as not cheating, everything else is secondary. I feel sad for consumer in Msia. sad.gif

I have yet to meet a friendly seller ( shops) including SEP. However independent reseller out from shop I recommend Alieamin ( check his posting in garage sales).

No reason why 3rd party resellers will hold up selling if they have stocks. Only authorised shops or SEP will respect Samsung wishes. Btw seller Alieamin is from a SEP shop based in Klang.

Very good deal. The last time I bought a S4 LTE from their special promo deal ( only 2 days ) and resold the unit and make RM 250 ++ the next day. Very efficient seller - I got the unit the very next day after payment made in the noon time. They sent out the same day evening time

I wonder, will there a line crowd that as big/long as iPhone crowd lines for Samsung?

I never heard any news that there were a long queue of people to buy Samsung products.
*
There was a VERY VERY long queue when Note 2 was launch in Spore. I read it surpass the queue for iphone . Plenty of photos were shown on the queue than on hardwarezone.sg
There were close to , I figure around 100+ people queue on day one launch at Megamall for Note2 ( that was at 11am)

Just a tip to those who want to buy from ebay : make sure your bank has preapproved your creditcard or paypal for online transaction. If not if you faced a bank decline message on checkout, by the time you get bank to approve you might already lose the chance. However if you have dealt with this seller before this is not an issue as your transaction will go through smoothly

can use credit card directly to pay to eBay or must go thru paypal?  I think so far i normally use paypal for ebay item coz they are small amount.

thanks.  smile.gif

I always use paypal for all my ebay purchases as is safer n better guaranteed of refunds in case of fail purchases. It is easy to setup a paypal account tied to your credit card

You mean if we have done online transaction before, it should be fine right? I mean, it's not like we need to verify eBay separately or something right?
*
NOT necessary as sometimes the bank will decline due to seller's database is not in bank records. I would say about 10-20% of the time I make a purchase from a new seller , I gets a bank decline message. Leceh-lah, than I have to call bank and ask them to approve it. Subsequent purchases from same seller will be OK than. I buy at least 5-6 times a month from ebay and this is what I encountered. My paypal is tied to my Maybank Visa card and for other banks , no idea how they work

If I link my CC with paypal, do I need to inform my bank or just get it done from paypal website?
*
No need. All auto done through PayPal

QUOTE(destEX @ Sep 23 2013, 03:03 PM)
thanks for the tip, so what i have to do? inform the bank ppl that i'm gonna buy a phone values 2k via paypal, so approve wutever i do on wednesday?
*
If you have not being a regular on ebay, suggest you buy something cheap say us$ 2 stuff. Bank will decline it. Than call bank ask them to release your creditcard available for that 1 or 2 days transaction. As for maybank they will not entertain any request until you have made a purchase. Your declined purchase will be captured on their servers. You can try call your bank n see whether without any purchase they can release approval on purchases to be made.

QUOTE(881118 @ Sep 23 2013, 03:08 PM)
paypal no charge? I remember got 3% + conversion rate
but that was for oversea purchase
for local then I am not sure
*
I have been buying stuffs past 6 years from ebay overseas n local n had never faced any extra charge. That is for Maybank. Other banks I understand might levy some extra small %. Check with your bank

Actually I'm also a bit unclear on this, is the RM1,888 promo which limited to 20 units is open to everyone? Even if we can't get that, RM1,999 is also a pretty good deal and we also don't know how many units it would be limited to.
*
Based on my experience buying the S4 LTE - the 20 units is open to anyone . It is on first come first serve basis
