just saw today newspaper Samsung Note 3 ads (someone posted a photo about it yesterday) and it mentions "chances to win a free Gear (limited 500 units) with purchase of Note 3". Hopefully a few participating outlet at launch will have quota to give away the Gear free, particularly for JB participated outlet.

The target now is not only to get the Note 3 on launch day or sooner, but also get the Gear for free at the same time.

only for KL lah.... quota system good for JB coz JB ppl normally won't bother to queue up for free gift, especially during weekday. Give JB outlet 50 sets of Gear, I am quite sure i will be the first 10 who is in the queue if there is a queue at all. For the past few Note I and Note II launching, not many ppl coz first day was week day.

how are you going to KL? Take bus up and come back in same day? Will try my luck but dunno worth or not going all the way 300km to KL just to get the free Gear. Maybe we can go together if i also manage to grab a free piece. I just scare later JB also got roadshow for Note 3 launching and they also giving away free Gear for first 50 persons. Then wasted the time and money to go all the way to KL.

Btw, just come back from Sutera Mall JB Samsung shop, ask about the Note 3. The sales girl say can get on 25th September but at RM2,399 and no free Gear for sure.

of course you need to buy the Note 3, and need to buy at the Gardens in Mid Valley on 25 Sept. Else, you thought they give us free Gear just like that?

of course free Gear is only limited unit. They stated in the newspaper ads limited to 500 units only. So far DiGi and Celcom also bundle it for free but limited to 100 units for Celcom, DiGi i am not sure though.

Evernote Premium for a year already costs USD45.00, maybe TheStar e-Paper for 6 months, then 50GB Dropbox for 2 years as usual.

Most likely others are just discount/rebate given if you buy something else. Eg. maybe AEON giving discount of 10% of their Jusco shopping but limited to RM500 total discount, etc.

Btw, how is the free Dropbox works for those already have free Dropbox from previous Samsung device? Coz the Dropbox size for those already got the 50GB free space will not get additional 50GB space. But will the expiry of the previous Dropbox be extended?

I heard the exception is only Fruitie as she manage to get a second 50Gb increase after flashing a custom rom. Knowing this limitation, i use another email to register for 50GB free space.

Spigen SGP case with cover is nice, especially for ladies. Been using for my Note 1 and my wife's S3 and Note II. She is loving it. I change to UAG though for my own Note II to get a different look but feel unsecured initially because the large piece of glass in front is naked. Now get used to it already.

you can check the existing SGP for Note II and S4 series, normally they will have the same style, just updated to fit latest model.

yes, getting the Note 10.1 2014. Pass the last version coz it is too heavy, my sister is using it though. If cannot get the free Gear with Note 3, maybe just skip it. wait for Note 4 + Gear 2.

After Jellybean, I dun really very anxious about android update as long as the rom is stable and smooth. Enjoy very much the JB on my aging Tab 7.7 compared to ICS on Tab 7.7. Kudos to Samsung for their support on their aging device. I think it is still the company with the best update for their devices.

I am sure Note 10.1 2014 will continue to get update in tandem with Note 3 since their hardware are more or less the same. Even without official rom update, a porting from Note 3 Rom should be easy to find at XDA later.

exactly what i experienced last year. Port back to Maxis from Digi and pay the penalty and admin fee just 2 weeks before the contract expired just to make sure i can sign up a contract with Maxis smoothly. But at the end Maxis give a shitty package, so end up buying the Note II without contract.

we all heard that since few days ago already. I think most of the ppl in Malaysia heard that if you read the newspaper.

ppl dun give spare we all complain.... then ppl give us extra then we suspect...

fyi, my Note I S-Pen still functioning perfectly up to today. I pass it to my sis-in-law and she is still using the Note I now.

It is not an investment - it is a toy, so a big EXPENSE.

so funny to look at those itchy hearts to get the Note 3 eagerly so badly. Please be patient lah..... it is just an android phone. It won't increase in price for the next few days when it is released on Sept 25. We already know most of its functions more or less at the moment, no surprise after getting one.

Can understand the urge to get the Gear but Note 3 is just a incremental update to Note 2.
