Last time, I scare to see a swarm of ifag.. Nowadays, we can see a swarm of samsungfags.. 2 swarm of ppl holding the same device, only with different casing.. And me and my XZU will stands in the crowd.. Lololol I got bravia on my palm, who cares

You are experiencing the bug, refer to first page..

Take out sim card, let the phone reboot, or push the red button next to the sim card until it vibrate 3 times, then it will reboot..

Make sure you "tick" /turn on optimised backlight before you boot your phone..

If fake hang happened, SOD will follows

Hmm.. As much as ppl complaint about TW, but what is the point of getting a Samsung device especially Note 3 if u gonna get rid of TW, because most of the special features is in the TW.

As for smartstay, you can use app such as gravity screen, in which it can detect you are looking at the screen and prevent from turn off based on the position of the phone you are holding..

its quite obvious.. look the the "white wall" color, it become pinkish

just some thoughts this morning..

i'm sad to see how people discriminate this phone, yes due to some glitches, while ignoring the good things about it.. the awesome display, high end specs, remarkably thin (still owning the title for the biggest-thinnest portable device up to date), expandable storage, water proof and dust proof, capable of playing 4k video, less if not none radio problem (wifi, 3g, GPS etc.).. i remember just a year back, this is what i wish to have, everything that i wish has been fulfilled by Sony.

I remember i've been using a number of devices that have more problem than this, but afaik i never seen people discriminate them so much compared to XZU. there's a lot of issues in previous phones model, i can name a few that i still remember:

S2- overheat, battery drain and SOD, and less pleasing performance of G-version model
Note1 and Note2: S-pen bugs in early batches, and some TW bugs
HOX: rampant yellow tint issue and short battery life
HTC One: gap, and purple tint camera
iphone: the infamous yellow tint with many people just try to live with it, and button broke, as well as the limited capabilities (such as a simple thing; initially an iphone cannot upload a picture into website)
name others, many more…...
in general, many production of phones have some radio issues such as inconsistent/weak wifi signal, Bluetooth reception problem, GPS slow lock or bugs, or some interference of phone signal.. this is the first thing that i observe/check whenever i got a new phone… this is very important, as the radio is what makes a phone a phone at the first place. none of this issue has been reported for XZU, unless isolated cases that has not been reported here.

and also note that, none of the already available phone model have stylus capability that can match S-pen on Note, but i don't know why XZU has been bashed too much about this, while on other devices people just ignore.

Sony has produced an outstanding device here, the XZU, but it amazed how it created allergy to some. While, there are many other just so-so smartphones out there… the famous BUGS meantioned did not really interfere my daily usage of XZU, but yet people exaggerated it, while for some issues if previous phones, it makes me feel like i want to throw the phone at dog already.

anyhow, i'm still loving this device. it is still an outstanding device that can stands proud in front of any other devices for the year 2013, even with the "incoming" one. lol..

i've seen a few device with much more problem than this, and the problems are not tolerable because it interfere with the common operation of the phone.. but the bugs on XZU is negligible because i don't mind leave the optimise backlight ticked, in fact i will not know about the buy if you did not pointed out.

the YouTube video i guess its Chrome browser problem.. recently i use Boat browser more, and i played Youtube video posted in this forum with no problem. can anyone double check?

about the camera, thats exaggerated, not that BAD. perhaps due to your total disappointment, so it has become your allergy. or simply your XZU camera have problem as well?

regarding firmware fix, this phone has been out say like 3 months? do you know what is the longest time taken for Samsung to fix their TW bugs in previous models? i remember FC(force-close) issues and some other issues has become our daily meal in some phone models before, the manufacturer simply can't solve the problem, until user forgot and move on to other phone.

a) yeah, same as HTC One.. but i never take a picture with flash on phone as well, coz the picture will come out suxx
b) who said ticked optimised backlight causing display become darker or yellowish? how do you know you did not own the phone.. on my XZU, it doesn't change much, except the backlight become dimmer, i guess. which is better, because even at lowest brightnest, XZU still too bright.
c) not me.
