No need LTE sim lah. =.= You just need to have mobile data in your sim card and you just have to be in LTE areas. You can get LTE Signal. Correct me if I'm wrong.
i think u still need a lte enabled sim card.Sony XPERIA™ Z Ultra, Official Thread V5, 14.1.B.1.532 Out - Big In Every Way!

Nope, I am using nano sim from Maxis which I got with my IP5 when LTE is not in the market yet. And now that LTE is available in my area, the same nano sim works automatically.

Cause I'm using my 3G nano sim which I also got when I bought my iPhone 5 which when I was in KL would pick up the 4G signal. That's on my LTE XZU of course. Bro, you have the XZU right? How about you try flashing the C6833 LTE firmware into your HSPA model and see whether LTE is available or not? Instructions on how to do it are on the first page! |

QUOTE(Andrew_1980 @ Sep 17 2013, 10:23 AM) If you are on Maxis postpaid and subscribed to minimum 1GB data plan, any Maxis simcard issued in th epast 1+ year can auto detect LTE. If cannot, than just have the simcard changeIf you are on Celcom postpaid, you MUST change it to LTE enabled card but sadly you can only change it at Menara Celcom Jln Semarak, Bluecube Sunway, KLCC, Pavilion. This info about 2 months old. No idea by now whether Celcom has make available for more centers to have it change. I changed mine at Menara Celcom and got LTE activated within an hour. Actually it is immediate but I do not wish to line up, just fill up a form , got the card and wait for the support staff to activate it later |

QUOTE(Hertz96 @ Sep 17 2013, 10:39 AM) Yea cikgu. Correct correct. Last time 3G was introduced and we all had to change our sim to the 3G ones. Same applies for LTE I guess. Automatically detect LTE if you are in the covered area. No SIM changes required, unless you are using a four five years old SIM cad....i refer to Maxis. This post has been edited by titi123: Sep 17 2013, 11:15 AM |

QUOTE(N30rang3r @ Sep 17 2013, 11:02 AM) No risk at all. My phone has been working perfectly past 2 hours after I upgraded to the LTE rom. Everything is working very well except I cannot test its LTE functionality yet as my place doesn't have LTE. But I have chosen 4G LTE/WCDMA/GSM as default network settings and the 3G/H/H+ is working perfectly well |

QUOTE(icemessenger @ Sep 17 2013, 11:20 AM) for ur info, nano sim from maxis is lte enabled, even tho lte is not available in malaysia yet that time Infact before LTE was officially introduced in Malaysia, all the latest Maxis micro simcard issued about a year before LTE was already LTE enabled. This info was given to me by Maxis support staff |
