buy during the 1st 6-9 months when the product was released. after tat period, it's better to wait for next gen

The biggest difference between the iPad Air and all of the models that came before it is the A7 chip and its accompanying M7 motion processor...for me better wait for iPad 5 aka iPad Air  |

I'm in the dilemma as well.. need iPad for work.. as I am frequently on the road. Torn between getting Air or iPad 4 .... should I wait or?

if you cannot wait already..get a secondhand ipad first. I am sure a lot of people are already selling. Once ipad air launch here then you can upgrade. At least you lose less money when you sell the old ipad or maybe you even decide to keep. FYI, I am using ipad 2 and it still works totally fine.
