no need golden age anymore, just give me steady 5% gain will do. (5% capital gain + 5% div = 10% profit)

5% CAPITAL GAIN.. only if sell. If not, only VIEW 5% GAIN.
Best is to find ways to increase DIVIDEND so, money can grow faster.

sell now seems a little late as you are still in paper loss.
just close eyes and receive dividend. if 1 yr gives you 5%, 2 yrs gives 10% already. should be more than cover your paper loss right? and if you are lucky, after 2 years, maybe paper gain already.

Sold long time ago.

Too much market share, not easy to push up.
Too little dividend.
Don't forsee injecting new assets under the portfolio in short term for more rental income.

i'd so far cut more than half of my stareit holding.
yes, still no news on its fund raising details, so cannot expect above 8% yield, may see large dilution after the fund raising exercise. In fact, i'm expecting only 5%+ yield after the exercise. So I'll continue to sell in rally. 

maybe switch them to sifu gark's favorite cmmt? 

Actually its the sharp drop of cmmt is what makes me interested in the first place. Especially the drop after it announce it will not buy tropicana...

Cannot, we must not get emotional in stock trading.
Stick to my plan: continue to reduce REITs on rally. No adding. Switching among one another is acceptable. 
Now still at 30% of total portfolio, still too high. Next target is reduce to 25%.

With Fed keep on saying Fed fund rate remain low, there is a limit how far 30 years can go.
That time, people worry about which bank or reit might go under.
Deflation fear was everywhere. 

No one dare to hantam time, then it is about the time.
Just like recently reit price drop across, wait until people talk about cut loss time (or drop until previous 'dream price" and yet not dare to go in), then it is about the time.
