Yes you can try not to install the kernel and just stick to your current perseus. There should be option in aroma for you to choose.

Have you done factory reset after every flashing? If still occurs i think you should just flash back to stock, TA, remove root and send for warranty.

i done it prior to flashing new rom tho hmm.gif so after flash, we need to do it again?
(to confirm, this option in cwm - wipe data/factory reset ; right?)

i'll try what i can before sending it to warranty. how long does it takes btw - through maxis or direct to sammy?

Maybe you should try using Ninetology. Heard the phones are good.
Especially the camera - clarity/colours.

Haha. i can't stop laughing at myself after flash to cyanogenmod 10.1.3. It is the king of the stock of stocks rom. laugh.gif
it is so simplify until not a single sammy/bloatware apps is come with. n i wonder why the file is so small compare to other roms.

btw, on Miuiv5, i think it is indeed unstable for me as when i go to settings -> apps->click an app and it went into soft reboot. n this reboot did not save any last save information, eg. contacts. it juz all lost.
n not sure y, miui v5 unable to read contacts from my sim card, but cyanogenmod able to thumbup.gif

neway, will flash back to stock 4.1.2 2nite. tqvm for all the info and advices notworthy.gif

Yeah.Battery life is not as good as the TouchWiz ROMs but CyanogenMod is way more smooth than TouchWiz from my experience.

You should do full twrp or cwm backup before trying custom rom. What i did is backup everything+internal sd before trying custom rom. If i dont like or the rom is unstable i just restore from the backup and everything is back to normal. no need to re root or anything. this method haven't failed me yet

Ya,I know that flashing custom ROMs no need re-root.Its just that when you flash one of those Original Stock ROMs from Samsung, you have to re-root again as the root will be removed after flashing it through Odin.Anyway thanks to you,I've learnt more on how to utilise the backups...=)

wta, i plan to flash Omega v18. but i'm not quite understand on this and how dangerous its impact is on my phone.

The new kernel XXDMG1 does not allow another modem to be installed
also since it use aroma installer, i have option to choose not to install the kernel and the modem?

if not, i'll juz abandon this to avoid any possible dmg blush.gif

Odin is just one of the few methods to root your phone. Now just install an apk file can root your phone. icon_idea.gif

I know that the new DMG roms don't allow you to flash back to older modems. The kernel one I'm not so sure. For me,I would flash those ROMs before the DMG ones to avoid issues.I don't want to screw my phone up...=)
