Lol. I suspected it's the language pack that caused the problem. Most users that experienced keyboard FC was due to the added language pack. Fortunate for me I can't write chinese so no added language needed. tongue.gif

But glad that I learned something and managed to find the solution. biggrin.gif

using note 3 keyboard port here. dont give any problem yet. but i cant enable all sub symbol hack on it. the price i had to pay to make it look like N3.. sweat.gif
*
True. Wanam Xposed and Note 2 Hidden Settings are not working for sub symbols.
By the way, Pen Window Manager is not working? I can't add more than the pre default apps? Joeldroid can.

Attempting to port N7100's ARHD to N7105, lets hope I don't screw up

Do you think it is possible? Tested by the developer?
Good luck. sweat.gif

Follow up with my sister's case this morning. Something really strange happened. Please help me to evaluate. hmm.gif

1) My sister is using U Mobile. Home button no response and no network.
2) She put her SIM card into my Note II, everything works like normal. Network also fine.
3) I put my Celcom SIM card into her Note II, everything works fine. Home button is fine and network ok.
4) Switched back her SIM card into her phone, situation no. 1 appears again.
5) We repeated step 2 and 3, no issue.

rclxub.gif Not sure if it's hardware or software problem now.

perharps try another u mobile sim in her phone and see ?  hmm.gif

QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 5 2013, 04:47 PM)
Yeah probably try another U mobile SIM. I had a case whereby I needed to change a SIM otherwise invoking GPS would cause a reboot. Went to Maxis, changed the SIM, everything's fine. It wasn't a cut SIM either.

Just tried another U Mobile SIM card on my sister's phone, no issue. Networks and home button work.
But the strange thing is my sister's SIM card has no issue on my Note II. hmm.gif
So cannot say her SIM card is spoilt?

Now she cannot bring her SIM card to U Mobile to fix it because her SIM card can be used on other phones. rclxub.gif
Cannot bring to Samsung because other SIM cards can be used on her phone. rclxub.gif

Two ways also not workable for now.

So, I'm helping her to flash to DN3 with the slightest hope it will fix her network and home button issue which I doubt so. laugh.gif

That's what I told her as well if DN3 doesn't fix her phone. laugh.gif
But the home button is totally explainable! Since when SIM card will affect its functionality? sweat.gif rclxub.gif

DN3 fixes the mystery. laugh.gif

I actually wiped off everything and reflashed to DN3, her home button works and network is appearing again. tongue.gif

But once flashed to DN3, network cannot be found even on my Celcom SIM card. So, flashed to DMG1 modem. Voila! thumbup.gif

Smart Stay is not something new that only 4.3 has... It is there since Note II's days.

Hi, may I ask what is the name of your apps? Found too many in google play. Thanks  smile.gif

I use Power Toogle all the time for WiFi, lock screen and torch light.
It has many functions, so you can edit your own toggle.

hmm.gif So I have flashed my sister's Note II to DN3 as well.

One thing I noticed that her screen colour doesn't look like mine. The white colour on my screen looks white while hers looks slightly yellowish.

All settings are the same as mine and two phones were put side by side. I didn't tell her this, if not she is going to get upset. sweat.gif

What could be the reason(s)? hmm.gif

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Nov 7 2013, 05:05 AM)
Has it been like that ever since, or right after your flashed DN3?

On the hardware side, AMOLED screens are prone to going yellow simply because the blue diodes have a tendency of dying early. The more you use it, the yellower it gets. This holds true for any AMOLED screen, the big tradeoff for all the punchy colours and deep absolute blacks we get. Also I think you know that some of the screens actually come for the factory "pre-yellowed" lol, I know my old S3 had this issue.

But sometimes software can also influence the screen colour. The mDinie profiles that determine the screen colour balance are software coded after all. If it got yellower after DN3, it might just be this.

Good question, I don't know. laugh.gif
I'm just going to ignore it until she realises the difference. tongue.gif

fairly certain quite a number of N2 users have moved on to N3.

just curious about the 2 years DROPBOX. will the 2 years get extended with the new N3 purchase? if yes, extension starts on N3 activation, or added AFTER the 2 years on N2?

i'm asking coz need to plan ahead... have to decide what to do when my 2 years DROPBOX expire. will then see if I should go for N4 or something... smile.gif

thanks...
*
No, it doesn't.
The 2 years continues from Note II.
