The mach by RHB FD is only for 6 months? Once it exceeds 6 months I won't get any more interest?

I believe your FDs would either be withdrawn or be renewed at the prevailing board rates.

First time posting here btw, been lurking for some time now hehe. wave.gif brows.gif

Hi all,

Can I ask if I want to place a FD in maybank but my money is in public bank. What are my options ? Since the amount is quite large I do not want to carry the cash with me.

Thanks.

You can always interbank GIRO. Each transaction costs RM0.10 with a max transfer limit of RM10k

I don't think there's a limit of 10k. Is there a limit now?

I think he meant a limit of 10K via internet.

Don't think there is a limit if you do that at the counter.

Cheerio.

Oops. Yup, I meant internet bank transfer. Sorry I wasn't clear enough. tongue.gif

I always dealt with a grey haired guy
Any other branches around PJ to recommend?  icon_question.gif

Btw, let's all hope the OPR increases. Then again, Australia has been a long time steadily reducing their interest rates..
I don't think any other bank have reduced their rates this year.

Erm, there's a BR branch in Kelana Jaya. I heard from my family that the staff there are quite friendly but their services can be very slow hmm.gif

Hey guys,

Can I join you guys for the group FD? icon_rolleyes.gif

But the thing is, I have most of my funds locked into FD at the moment. The earliest I can come up with the minimum amount of RM50k is July 31st 2014. notworthy.gif

Most members have locked their monies in FDs, so you do not need to worry about this.

Please treat this group FD plan as 3rd priority because cannot guarantee this group FD plan
will be successful.

Hi smile.gif

Sorry for the delayed reply!

Anyway, I would prefer my FD to have PIDM. nod.gif

Or could we find out the difference in rates for PIDM and non-PIDM banks, if we would to deposit a sum of at least 2.5m? So we can decide whether the "juice is worth the squeeze" or not brows.gif

Guys, need your help here about mach hl fd.

I put in 1k into fd promo@3.7% for 6 months. I realised that the fd interest credited into my account is different.

1st time: 3.14
2nd month: 2.84

I use compound interest calculator and I just can't get these two figures. Anyone can help?
Thanks.
