How's the FD group nego coming along?

Anyway, I paid a visit to a supposed new BR branch. But instead was only an agent for BR, Koperasi Simpanan dan Kredit Bersatu.
They have their own deposit scheme (FD) & the interest rates do look Extremely attractive but they have so far only been in the market for 2 years. However, to fund the deposit scheme, they provide personal loans to government servants & practise the direct salary deduction via ANGKASA so should be pretty safe.

However, do take note that there is no monthly interest payout like BR.
Anyone had any experience or heard anything about them before?:

the rate offered is so high. I am worried if they are safe.

Even with the damn high rate, I'm not convince & don't "feel" safe to enter  icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks, I am abit sceptical about the deposit too since it started in 2012 & the Corporation only has 1 outlet so far.

I am also not too sure what assurance it has by being registered with KPN Koperasi Pembangunan Negara

Wah,,think big ah..  biggrin.gif
Yes, this can be done for several times per year also, provided if some members can gather
funds at the same timing..

If we are successful for the first time, then the second time of Group FD plans should be running smoothly and etc..

Welcome back BCC!
Great, is 1 of the strategy to portray a higher amount as advised by Top Goat previously also tongue.gif

3. AM Bank ..too buzy with some customer, left without query.. shakehead.gif  but they do have rice husk mug..umbrella & woven handbag..require 200k deposit.. sweat.gif
* BR gave Gold Parker Pen, worth at least RM80 to 100. BM promise me 'high tea'  icon_idea.gif  and plus towel for me..

Most banks doesnt give gifts... PB, HL Bank, CIMB.. doh.gif  doh.gif  for renew deposit
*
AM Bank service has gotten really bad recently.
However, if you have PB, it was not too bad. Here are some of the benefits I experienced:
- free buffet at Concorde Hotel for participating in their customer experience feedback
- free meal from the RM, buffet at their PB centre
- I can sign & pre-approve transactions. If I am busy, I can just call her to authorize any transaction like withdrawal for UT
- I have gotten umbrella & food warmer for their FD promo
- PB gifts was Ceruti pen, diaries, notepad, leather baggage tag & wallet

Unfortunately, no special rate for FD even for PB.

New koperasi need some time to "stabilize" & establish itself. for now just stay away first  sweat.gif
*
Ya, guess will have to give it a miss though the rate is so high, 9%!
There are some fees, even on a monthly basis though but the final rate is still very attractive for ~100k

Still in the middle of recruiting members...
Thanks for the info..  hmm.gif

They have only one office in Mid Valley...
Minimum deposit RM 5K, profit return up to 9%..?
*
The main office is in Mid Valley, but they just opened an outlet near TTDI which was where I went.
But still don't feel comfortable putting money with them since no branches. sweat.gif

public..red carpet? whts the min amt? your gifts received when? 2010? or recently? i believe early launching, they shower you with tonnes of gifts, but after tht....zero  shocking.gif

Not Public Bank, Ambank priority banking.
Yes, mostly during the launching of their priority banking except for notebook, leather wallet & luggage tag which I got recently.

I got the personalized service until the RM left 2 months ago, which until now I do not know who is her replacement.

The amount for priority banking was RM200k but now not sure as it is no longer stated on the web site.
Oh yes, free for life visa infinite given too.

Sometimes when RM leave for another bank, the customers will follow the RM too. biggrin.gif

Unfortunately, she did not tell me which bank she was going to.
Only knew that she was bought over somemore so everything happened so fast sad.gif

But Ambank is convenient for me & for std over the counter transactions, usually no long queue. thumbup.gif

Don't you think that makes you a target? imagine if a group is loitering around the exits of shopping malls, looking at the credit cards people use as a way to judge who to rob/kidnap for ransom etc.

Pull out your visa infinite and you will be an instant target tongue.gif
*
Definitely need to becareful with using the card..
But there are some good 50% promotions & free access to airport lounges for some cards.

Do be reminded is the outlet at menara glomac damansara kim, which is off jalan damansara

50% promotions and free access to airport lounges is worth your life and the lives of your loved ones? tongue.gif
*
Well, will keep that in mind as almost everyone who frequences the airport lounges have those cards.
Anyway, like Gen-X has been reviewing, use a credit card for its specific purposes. thumbup.gif

Keeping a low profile is always good. biggrin.gif

I was told by someone that soon we will be charged a higher tax or something if we have more than 1 credit card? Don't know how true is this.
*
Endless possibilities tongue.gif
Whatever it is, would be best to limit the number of credit cards.

Better to have more FDs.. icon_idea.gif

Is not queue up, is more like participating in a lucky draw & hoping someone sells their units when you check at the counter.

I think KL / PJ customers can never get it as there must be many who place millions in BR.
