either phone problem or user problem haha jk jk ...

my last trip to chiangmai where I've not been there before, I rely solely on my G2 GPS and Google maps for navigation and it 100% success bring me to places that i wanted to go. Also i enable geotag for camera and it manage to capture the coordinates of all the location the where the photo are snapped.

also when ever i travel North South Highway PG--KL--JB , i always turn on AES detector and only time i lost gps signal is at the tunnel near Ipoh. so far so good la gps on this phone.

Actually its Malaysia that sucks. The telco companies set up their networks like rubbish. most smartphones use A-GPS for better accuracy and our Malaysian network engineers are absolute rubbish come out from dunno which tanjong university.

The network is an even bigger joke. When I am on Vodafone 4G network in Europe, I can get at least 24 hours without charging and heavy usage (call, sms, internet and emails). The network is very stable and I can stream Spotify and Youtube smoothly.

Here in Malaysia, I am on DiGi the last generation network and the phone heats up quickly. Obviously it is searching for network and constantly switching from 3G and 2G. My LG G2 battery only last for about 10 hours and this is ridiculous.

I have sent many complaints to DiGi of various locations with poor coverage (just doing my part to help improve the network but the customer service is worse than rubbish as well). Good thing I am leaving this Sunday and I dont have to put up with this rubbish anymore for 1 year.

This is huge conspiracy to get people to buy powerbanks and a whole lot of other nonsense.

fully agree, you can feel the same effect in Singapore. The battery just last longer. So nice la you can go Europe work thumbup.gif

if enabling flash and takes 1-2 seconds is ok...
i read the review some said 4-5s to focus...

for me focusing in low light is not an issue. Issue is the slow shutter during low lights, it makes snapping moving objects difficult.

how slow is that? means take few second from the time when u press the snap button until it saved the photo?
*
press snap it will snap immediately la but if you have moving object in the photo, it will be blurry for that object lor

u know what is shutter speed ?

so far snapping photo on this phone is a joy lar, not once i need 3 to 5s to snap a photo

if you noticed, almost every phone out there 1 of the main discussion is on how to extend battery life.

But for G2 thread, you almost don't see it. All you see is people sharing how great the battery is hahaha

Hi guys, im not yet go thru the whole thread so im not sure anyone asked this be4.

I already changed my notification sound, on sms all that its working fine.. but whenver i do code like *126#  or *128#, il still get the default tone when the reply pop up (the lifes good tone).. is there any setting that i missed ?

Im on stock rom (10b hk rom maybe, still new to this fon)
Any thos? Thanks.
*
How u change the SMS notification sound? Under SMS setting? If that's the case then because that is ussd and not SMS that's y it didn't use the SMS sound. It will take the general notification sound .

To change this general notification sound, go to setting --> sound --> notification sound

If you change already changed the above still get life's good tone, then I have no idea haha

QUOTE(Ericz @ Jan 17 2014, 06:11 PM)
yup.. changed under General, so should be default to all notification, cept those set under app's own setting..

but still Life's Good  doh.gif  hmm.gif  bug? Only some have this problem? Then might be rom issue
*
That's very strange cuz I've just tried calling *100# and the notification is correct as per what I set under general notification .

I'm on stock ROM 10b SEA just rooted with some xposed modules

What ROM you guys using?

Here's my screen on time after the 1st full charge. AMAZING!!

I do notice that the phone doesn't suck up battery on standby. 2hrs after unplugging it was still showing 100%.
*
Actually it does use battery during standby, it's just that a full battery is like 110% rather than 100%.

That's y it will take some time for the number to move to 99% haha
