Been lurking around pc shops but none of them provide demo set / allow for testing mech kb  . And only saw logitech and razer brands available only, which is mx red switch.

i learn from WhiteFireDragon's kmac assembly youtube video that he uses a tape to tape the led before flipping it over, maybe this way easier?

So I have nothing to do and I tried both of my keycaps set, the bad news is both spacebar doesn't fit into Oni. Somehow I measure and compare, they have slight different. Can other Oni user confirm me regarding this? Can you guys change your spacebar caps?

My idea is to change to Costar stab for the spacebar. I think this will settle the issue. Screw the warranty. Go to hell non standard layout.   Or can I move the stab position? Or is there any other solution? Somehow I think changing to Costar stab is the best solution because they are not fixed like cherry... Help me... Luckily haven't sell yet.

There are universal spacebars, but don't know if they would work with kbt ONI. And I always thought kbt ONI uses standard spacebar? I will have to check on my key cool tonight.

i only have one set of keycaps. so i thought maybe my spacebar is not compatible with Oni. i dint measure them before like you did and since they are black keycaps set so i just mix with grey spacebar

maybe universal spacebar will fix this problem. oh well, i just have to wait FC700R come to me first then only can settle about others.

spacebar is PBT but the stem of spacebar is different then the spacebar that i have.

how to clean those stain and dirt on kepcaps? brush it off or need special liquid? i saw some people use the shoe sole whitening liquid to clean it up. can i use that?

i think this is because vortex still haven't make those caps yet.
like the ones in massdrop (blue font), they had to end it early because there's a limit of 205 sets they can make within a time frame. they only start to make after the groupbuy ended in massdrop.

this time probably after vortex seeing the good response, and feng coming in at the right time (or according to some  evil plans), they agreed to have another group buy.

of course this is only my personal speculation...haha!

but then...if i like the red font caps from f-104's free gift...and blue font on the way from mass drop, i might want to get light pink and green/light green...
next month budget T.T
