Guys I'm currently looking for a HSF for my current AMD +3000 (socket 939). The stock HSF too noisy la...

I'm considering either :

Artic Freezer 64
or
Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu

What do you guys think? Any other recommendation are also welcome. My budget is RM200 and below, focus is on quiet operation, of course if can i want it to keep my CPU as cool as possible also.

thx

@akash : Are you using the Abit uGuru utility to monitor your motherboard temperature? Because they say that software don't report temperatures very accurately

I kinda like Zalman air cooling... Look damn cool laugh.gif
But I think most zalman cooling fans are kinda heavy

Either way, I planning to get either the CNPS7000 or CNPS7700.

Why bother getting an expensive zalman heatsink when you can get a better heatsink for the same price?

My advice is, the least you could do is to get yourself a Scythe Ninja... thumbup.gif

It's not the best, but it's better than those crappy zalman heatsinks... sweat.gif

I'm not saying that all zalman heatsinks are bad...

The Zalman VGA cooler is good, but the cpu heatsink, nahhh...

Don't think so..  laugh.gif

If you want the best, go get yourself a Thermalright Ultra 120.. brows.gif

Told ya, I like the design... Gaya ma(for me la)

Hey XP-90 or Freezer 64 Pro which is better in terms of cooling performance? Can't afford the Sytche Ninja now...Have to resort to cheaper solutions T_T

Just purchased a Thermalright Ultra-90 for my system. Currently leaving it fanless(fan not yet arrive) and I'm quite suprised with the cooling performance(equally as good as the stock HSF, minus the noise) despite not having a fan.

Add my name to the list

I own a Thermalright Ultra-90. Currently using a cheapo 92mm fan while awaiting my Panaflo fan.

Proc : Athlon +3800(manchester) @ 2.4ghz
Idle Temperature : 32
Full load for 12 hours : 56

Non air cond room.

Will update my temperatures after I get my panaflo fan.
