Wanna ask here, before i changed my stock cooler to Zalman CPNS 9500 LED, my idle temp is about 40, and 62 load, now it decrease a lot and make me wondering...idle about 20 and load about 35

Anyone know why it happens?

I've stressed my CPU using Prime 04 about 1 hour 30 min, and normally stress my CPU about 8-9 hours for 3D MAX rendering...(final project, last nite 15 hours stress, my CPU 100% in 15 hours rclxub.gif )

Anyway, put me in the list

Pentium D 930 Presler (no OC)
Zalman CPNS 9500 LED
Idle 20???
Load 35???

Later i'll post my sreen shot

Yeah, i'm also wondering about that...Actually my pc in the studio where the A/C just turn on from 6am to 10pm....during that time the temp even lower than stated... rclxub.gif maybe i should flash my bios or maybe something wrong with my sensor...

Haha...i'm in gombak...

Just finish first part of my submission, my pc works really hard, rendering 3D MAX like hell...my CPU stressed almost 24 hours and i even not shut it down for almost 3 days...what to do? rendering in progress...

Anyone can suggest the best temp reader rather than PC Probe II (by ASUS, currently using it)...

@albirri

some of your question I can't answer confidently because experience gained is varied from a person to another person during tinkering with each own computer.

However, I think most people using Artic Silver thermal paste.

Regarding to the BIOS, yup you maybe need to flash to a new BIOS revision, if any. Check the mainboard manufacturer's website for these information. By the way, I recommend you to check the mainboard circuitry, including sensor chip for any anomality.

Personally, I use Motherboard Monitor as temp reader. It is quite good if you do the setting in the right way. Read the manual first.

I wonder if you are architecture student at UIA Gombak, but I puzzled why don't u use professional workstation graphic card from Nvidia or ATI, such as Quadro series? Maybe you also play game  wink.gif

Hmm, anyway, geforce6800 Ultra is a nice card smile.gif

Yeah, I'm architecture student, 4th year...heavy duty with all that 3D thing, and gaming also...that's why i took 6800 ultra, some of my friends are using quadro...I'll try to flash my bios and will see...

Coretemp(or TAT) and mobo always gives different reading. They measure it from two different places.

And IIRC, nakata mentioned something that ES version dont play well with coretemp. Nakata's chip posted a 18c for his coretemp temp!  rclxub.gif there's a thread I started about TAT temps, go check it out.

Just my 2 cents, be extra careful with your temp coz with the ES, you cant really be sure what your real temp is.

My Abit EQ reads my temp, idle 31, load 40 blush.gif
