my current temp on 2.4Ghz, 1.425v is 40°C 100% load (orthos stress) under aircon ambient of 26-27°C outside casing.
but the core individual temp kinda high, having core0 45°C and core1 48-49°C. laugh.gif

using ultra 120 (non Extreme version) with CM fan on 1000rpm (low noise). is it good enough for air cooling setup? i dont have previous temp for overclocked CPU.

styloe: yeah, i know that before i bought the CM. haha...but i read somewhere this lovely ultra 120 also works with low cfm fans, albeit the results not so superb. laugh.gif I have other 2 vantec with 1800rpm (62CFM) but i think the noise is too loud. louder than what it stated 31dB i think (same with silverstone stated specs, anyone using silverstone 121 care to clarify?). haha...so far with my clock, the full 100% load temps wont go over 50°C. would stay around 40-45°C+. shouldn't it be ok?

i wonder what kind of result will i get if i use a higher CFM fan. hmm...sflex looks attrative with the fluid dynamic thingy. 60+CFM with only 28dB!!! sounds promising! but RM80...huhuhu...for a fan (maybe reduce 3-5°C?) hmm.gif maybe next time...

btw, i am controlling the fan speed and monitoring the RPM through CM aerogate. laugh.gif

hmm...mine shoots up to max of 52°C+ without fan. but my casing has very good air flow.

yeah, the silverstone doesnt look promising. if I were to get a high cfm fan, sflex would be my choice.

if we control the speed of the fan, it kinda defeats the purpose of having high CFM + low noise properties of a good fan. laugh.gif i think any fan operating lower than 1200rpm the noise is not audible already. but those CFMs also will be like only around 30-40+ max.

gonna try s-flex if i have the chance. hmmm....since irangan said singapore also out of stock. dang...

with low cfm fan, even tho performance was ok, i cant feel the air flow behind the heatsink. meaning not much air came thru. lol...
