Moto 360 I doubt will ever reach Malaysian shore. We have to find a way to bring it in.

Hope someone will start a bulk order when it launches. rclxms.gif

Ok, tons of Moto 360 images leak, this time showing the wireless charging cradle as well! biggrin.gif

http://www.androidauthority.com/moto-360-w...-cradle-414510/

Initially its leaked in Italy and covered by this sites: (Google Translate to English)

TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!!!

Other details from the Italian website:

- 3-4 days Per Charge on Normal Use
- Wireless Charging (Cradle shown)
- Interchangeable Straps confirmed
- Watch Case is Stainless Steel
- IP67
- Heartrate Monitor
- Light Sensor
*
Superb good news rclxms.gif Wireless charging was leaked long time ago from FCC docs, but heart rate sensor doest surprise me. I just hope it still cost below my budget of RM1000 ( 300USD ), but most likely I'm just gonna get it regardless price.

I have a big question on this kind of smart wear(watch)...

1. Can i track my running without with my phone in my pocket?
- because if running, need bring phone with you is really a hassle, and the purpose of smart wear is no more...
2. Can it work like a independence android device?
- if only work with smartphone, then no more fun on smart wear, it just a accessories, like a earphone...
*
Since you asked for smart wear, the answer is yes/no.
Depend on which smartwear/watch. Some capable of tracking steps ( running ) and work without Android/iPhone, some like Android Wear ( gear live, g watch ) required to be connected to Android phone at all time to be fully functional.

Yes, minimum is 4.3, which is not really that hard to achieve because only "tech geeks" are into smartwatches for now, and most probably the phone they have is 4.3 and above.

I think Pebble still has a place in the market NOW. Because its already a stable platform (>3 years experience). So the original $150USD Pebble is still worth getting, even more so during promotion periods. But if they don't come out with something improved or new fast, they will lose the race...because the development/support for Android Wear is growing each day.
I would still go for Android Wear or its devices. Its more mainstream and you get better support by "bigger" companies.
*
Yup. Dont think those wanted smartwatch still using old smartphone, not to mention ditch out few hundred for it.

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Aug 13 2014, 06:09 PM)
Haha, me too. I will wait for Moto 360 first. If too expensive (I really hope not!), I will settle for LG G Watch. smile.gif

There's another option in my mind, HTC One Wear ( not sure the name yet )

worth?? but before I pull the trigger, how's G Watch battery last with single full charge? anyone wearing this care to shed some lights?
*
Most review I read, can last more than one day, but rarely reach two full day, so still consider as one day sweat.gif

I believe the bootloader can be unlocked already and there's even custom rom available. Perhaps this can improve the battery life slightly.

Waiting for custom kernel biggrin.gif Hopefully Moto 360 can last at least 2 days cool2.gif

People used to complaint smartphone that need to charge on daily basis, while still using feature phone. Now everyone using smartphone that still need to charge daily and almost all accepted. People used to complaint smart watch with few days battery life, while still using traditional watch that last years. Now we praise Pebble with one week battery life and complaint Android Wear's one day plus battery life.

My 2 cents ? It didnt matter as long you can charge your device easily. Moto 360 ticked the list, with wireless charging cradle. Just wondering if it can be charge through my wireless charger with flat surface.

Is Pebble still relevant now that Android Wear is out? Granted Pebble is the only watch so far in the market that supports both IOS and Android but Android Wear looks promising with what it can do more.
*
If you must have long battery life ( at least 5 days ) and Pebble OS able to satisfy ALL your requirement, it's still not bad a choice. Pebble is USD150 which is much cheaper, while Pebble Steel's steep price > no comment whistling.gif

They targeted against Pebble Steel, with compatibility on Android and iOS. USD129 price and color screen. If only they announce before Android Wear, it should able to chop away part of Pebble Steel's market.

And I think Asus support and retail is much more available here as compared to LG. smile.gif

Depend on looks. Most people that still not accept smartwatch was due to looks and price. If Asus able to pull this with good looking Android Wear while maintain lower price ( as they mentioned before ), it could work.
I'm still waiting for HTC's Android Wear, given their recent phone design looks premium and delicious, I'm waiting for it. If they announce round Android Wear, then I will have headache biggrin.gif

round design same as moto 360
*
Noted LG teased about 'perfect circle'. Let's hope it's not just illustration purpose only. One minor flaw of so-close-to-perfect Moto 360 is the bottom area taken by sensor.

If LG indeed make a perfect round display Android Wear, I might jump over to it from Moto 360 tongue.gif . Getting excited for IFA now with more and more Android Wear devices.

TPU case can skip, never a fans of fugly case. Glass SP not sure if wanted to add extra bulkiness to something that small but yet quite thick. Can only hope Gorilla glass can help it survive light hit and knock.

Apple will introduce Sapphire Glass on Smartwatch and patent it. whistling.gif
*
Most likely they will. And since they are part of Rockstar Consortium, they will start suing every Android Wear with glass, with LCD, with digital sensor, or even with name of smartwatch. Because patent trolls hold such bull-shit patents that's so general, they could sue anyone for anything doh.gif

But Sapphire Glass on watches (mechanical) is so common now.

There's no logic in those patent troll's world. Because apparently you can sue manufacturers for having phones with LCD screen. I'm afraid few years later, they could sue you for using finger to touch screen sweat.gif

If still using Sony's own OS, skip. Sony had yet confirmed on any Android Wear devices yet, quoted from Sony "continue to evaluate opportunities" on Android Wear.

There's rumor that ASUS’s smartwatch may feature an AMOLED display and a price tag ranging from $99 to $149. If they design it good looking enough, it could be killer product, since most people cant make their mind on smartwatch due to high price tag.
