QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Nov 30 2013, 01:56 AM) Checked it out and it looks pretty impressive. It's actually a smartphone which is the size of a (huge) watch. I'm not sure if that's a good thing because that means your watch IS the phone. You no longer have to carry your phone because your phone is now a 2.4-inch watch. For now the there is still no one smartwatch that can get it right. They either look good but have limited features or the other way round. Samsung would have (almost) nailed it if they actually released that flexible screen smartwatch prototype that was floating around before the actual Gear was released, which turns out to be one of the ugliest looking smartwatch. QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 30 2013, 07:04 AM) Yeah. Your smartwatch will be just a normal watch without your phone. There are only a few apps that can run without the smartwatch, one of them is the Pebble stop watch. http://www.mypebblefaces.com/apps/417/515/ Or maybe those calculator apps. Never use a pebble before so cant comment much. But as far as I know, if u want some simple long lasting battery smartwatch just show u notifications a bit more in that small screen. Then pebble it is. If u want more. Sw2 is ur choice. Hehe |

Was thinking the same thing a few months ago. Last time I checked the Smartwatch is around RM200 more expensive than Pebble. It really depends on what you want to use the smartwatch for.Previously I was using the previous version of Sony smartwatch and now I'm using Pebble. Pebble is the clear winner. Notifications such as SMS, Whatsapp, and emails are flawless while Sony is still buggy. Exercising app such as Run Keeper also works well on Pebble. Pebble is also water proof, able to view in sunlight, and battery last up to five days. You can't even wash your hands with the Sony smartwach, hard to view in sunlight and battery only last for about 2 to 3 days. The only good thing about Sony smartwatch is that it looks cooler and has a color/touch screen. But those won't matter if you're not planning to show off. It might have more apps but more than half of it is pretty useless. The biggest con for the Pebble is its USB charger. Once you spoil it I'm not sure where can you get a replacement. QUOTE(on9trader @ Dec 1 2013, 05:29 PM) They don't sell the charger separately so yeah.. not sure where else can you get it. Haven't managed to find out.If warranty is important to you then that's another thing you should find out for the Pebble. If its spoilt I'm not sure if you should send it back to them or what because they don't have a store here.
