hihi. that's why the fluidity of the os better
anyway for me 5" fine but the bezels like Alcatel idol x(67.5mm)
easy to operate in one hand
almost same like z1(without the waterproof feature)
actually it's 1.1k soon.  :-)
*
for me 5"is good but over is too big... used 2x 5.3"phone b4...
had another smaller one 4.5" which is bloody comfortable to pocket...
i also duno y ppl want big screen phone while cannot operate in 1 hand... haha....

waiting n.... waiting... see how... if around 1k i will consider...

well, even with smaller phone (i.e iphone 4, or those between 4" to 5" phone) people tend to use 2 hands to operate.
so why bother about the inability to operate one hand?

anyway I am with you for not going for more than 5" phone.
MI3 suits me the most.
*
Haha... well I use 1 hand to operate... but playing games might use 2 hand and typing... other than that... I mostly use 1 hand..

QUOTE(812799 @ Mar 7 2014, 02:57 PM)

QUOTE(figure8 @ Mar 7 2014, 03:02 PM)
yea, i have spare battery which i can change on the spot. some say mi3 battery is quite powerful. i hope it will be less heat compare to mi2 which is significantly get hotter very easily.
*
Agrees... if I uses my Xperia ZR for primary I surely will have another battery for back up...

4 hrs SOT with low usage, not great... at least 5 hrs for low usage... Moderate usage should be around 4 hrs...

I used a lot. Lol. Mostly on Google n Facebook. Haha. 3g on all time
*
that is not a lot... me at least 10 hours on 3G then other time on Wifi (at least a connection)...
calls about 30 mins, sms, whatsapp, wechat, Clash of Clans, Robocop and also email app (gmail n K9)..
my experience on few phones...
Lenovo P780 4000mAh- SOT around 6 hours (mostly last more than 14 hrs) 2nd photo or greyish background
Xperia ZR 2300mAh - SOT around 3 hours (mostly last around 7~8 hours) 1st photo or white background
Moto G 2070mAh- SOT around 3 hours (mostly last around 7~8 hours)

if XiaoMi with 3050mAh around 4 hours SOT is nothing to shout about... just normal with ur usage...
i'm doing sales so u know lo... i'm not sitting in office...
other than P780 all others phone i need powerbank to last until 6pm...

some photos... hahaha and some typo... i'm having tablet...

i'm really disappointed with the battery life if it can last 4 hours only... with 3050mAh i expect a lil more than 5 for normal usage...
i can get 3~4 hours from MotoG also with only small battery...

How long u last in p780. U got extra 30% battery. So if u dun get more then can't lo. I on 3g all the time. Never off. Play games zombie but not much coz all game data dun have.
*
At least SOT 5 hrs... then with the photo u can see clearly it last around 20 hrs with calls n others... normally it will last me until 9pm without failure... mostly around 16 to 18 hrs with my usage...

then you should stick with your p780 lor
*
Haha... changed phone liao... I change at least 1 phone per year...
P780 is good for stamina usage but multitasking is not as good as device with 2GB of ram...
heavy also... but IPS screen is much nicer than Amoled... then camera is good n sharp...
I use ZR now... but need to use power bank... which good for multitasking...
I might wanna try this but waiting for official launch n see..

i thought China very limited city only support LTE... i believe so coz it will be crazy just to push out LTE to support overseas market... as i know of their current biggest market is still within China at the moment... as of now their sold phones more than 70% still within China...

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Apr 11 2014, 09:03 AM)
Those who already considering what phone to get below RM1.2k.. look no further. After using it for a couple of weeks, I can say it's one of the smoothest rom you can get your hands on and it's a pleasure to use. The phone looks like a combination of Sony Xperia Z and Nokia Lumia design, but more comfortable to hold than Sony due to the rounded sides. I think black is the best colour combination as it gives the phone an understated and stealthy look. I will only put HTC One above the design due to the impressive aluminium material and unmatched high end feel.

Camera uses 13mp Sony Exmor sensor so no complaints here, shutter is very fast and only thing that doesn't work so well is that the flash may be too strong in dark places.

The screen is a LG 5in and overall it performs better than the Nexus 5 as it is more vibrant in colour compared to Nexus a bit washed out colours. You can change the colour temperature to default, warm and cold at the settings for your preference too.

Battery life is above average, but short of marathon. I'm comparing it to my previous phones such as HTC One, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Lenovo Vibe X and Moto G and it lasts longer than all of them. On average I get over a day's use with combination of phone calls, social apps, games and web browsing. For all the others I needed to charge the phone few hours earlier.

Most compelling feature of the phone is MIUI which improves every week from it's updates, fixing bugs and improving features from user feedbacks. Yes it does look like iOS but after using it awhile it is actually much more the feel of iOS but the flexibility of Android, combining the best of both worlds. In fact any phone I intend to change in the future I will want to flash MIUI over the stock rom if possible.

Consider the hardwork to order n collect in SG. 469 not bad actually. Don't forget there's official warranty too.

If buy from reseller really hard to tell the warranty n support. Sometimes end up with modified rom, like my set.

I was thinking like that also... that's y I'm willing to play the waiting game and also see more review b4 making a move...
Buy a IOS tablet or handphone...?

Haha... I have 1 iPhone, 1 Android Phone and a Windows 8.1 Tablet (Asus T100)... basically I cover everything, I Don have a laptop... but give my bro the iPad1 kinda miss the IOS in tablet... sorry I do not mean to offense but never thought of getting Android Tablet as the over all tablet experience will lose to iPad... I used tablet in android b4 but overall experience still not as good as iPad...
Now my gf sometimes took my tablet to watch movie I have to reply u at my mobile now... so maybe buy another bigger screen for her entertainment purpose...

But if u say mobile I will buy android anytime over iPhone... my old iPhone is for back up only...

There are pros n cons... pro is power saving and cost, that's the killing point... con cause of the ram, mostly 1GB only, less developer (less custom rom), slow updates of android system... eerrr....

if 3000mAh battery for mediatek chipset I can say heavy usage can last u at least 14 to 16 hours to flat... my fren using P780 and it can last him 1.5 days... n he more towards moderate heavy usage side...

snapdragon chipset hard to meet this including the MotoG where I need to charge same as my ZR, around 6 hours when it drops below 20%... my worst case is 6 hours to nearly flat...

The main issue is no power no handphone... i think a lot ppl can live with the cons but not the pros... power is the heart of everything now... ya ya ya... powerbank but for some ppl do u think it is convenient for them to carry it around? Do your own thinking... cheers...

For me at least I BANNED Exynos Chipset or be specific Samsung...
I still interested to get Snapdragon handset but less than 1k if possible... but with that price I can get a nice Lenovo or XiaoMi or even Asus now... so y not... smile.gif
